OMG !!! I just wanted to share with everyone my excitement !! I am one who has to have everything so I bought the crop-a-dile and it has been sitting on my table for months, looks to confusing for me and I was afraid to try it. Well tonight I tried it and OHHHHLAAAALAAAA this is great!! Everyone needs to buy this. Hold buying another stampset and invest in this it is so worth it. I labled mine where the base was because I was getting it wrong Now I am going to put eyelets on all my paint cans LOVE IT !!!

Glad someone likes it. LOL I prefer the anywhere punch. The reach on this thing is too short for my preference.

I finally got it, too. I prefer the Anywhere hole punch for paper because the reach is short on the Crop-a-dile, but I got the Crop-a-dile more for punching into other materials. I figured a good way to convince my DH that I really needed this was to show him that he could use it for his scout stuff, too. Haven't had that much time to play with it, but what I have done, I like! Glad I finally got one!

I love mine. The range is limited, but I find it easier for me to set eyelets. I hated the hammer method and I tried the setter from MM. The Crop-a-dile is definitely a keeper for me!

I got one a week or so ago as well. Took me awhile to figure it out, but I think it will be great for paper bag books, chipboard, tins, etc. I will not use it for setting eyelets in paper - I like the anywhere punch for that, or my Provocraft Silent Setter (which I only use when it needs to stay quiet - it's hard on my arthritic wrists!). I'm one who LIKES to hit those little suckers with a hammer!

I just got mine about a week ago and I love it. I haven't done eyelets in ages cuz too much trouble to drag the setting stuff out and my husband is sensitive to noise. The Crop-A-Dile is really easy to use and no noise. I just have to learn how much pressure to use because I squished too hard on some of the eyelets it is that easy. I am now doing eyelets again. I do wish it had a 1/16 in hole punch though.

I love mine for making the paper bag books! It will actually punch holes through 4 folded paper bags!

I haven't gotten one either b/c of the reach. I love the anywhere punch for this. Also, I had read that the C-A-D could punch through metal so I took the handheld 1/16 punch we sell and tried it on a lunch tin... it worked!
Glad you LOVE your new tool

So where is everyone getting this neat tool? Does Michaels or Joann's carry it?

I LOVE my Crop-a-Dile!! I use chipboard A LOT and while I've never had a big problem using my anywhere punch on it, it can sometimes be a pain -- especially if I need to get through more than one layer 'cause the top layer ends up with a bigger hole. Enter the Crop-a-Dile . . . that baby punches through chipboard SO easy! The other day I tried it out on 4 layers of heavy chipboard and it punched right through them -- all the holes are exactly the same size and exactly lined up. LOVE it!! Then there's always the big plus of how easy it sets eyelets -- I'm actually using bunches of eyelets again.

Anywhere punches (1/16" and 1/8") are included in the Crafter's Tool Kit . You can also get them I'm pretty sure at Michael's, JoAnn's or any craft store. They enable you to punch a hole anywhere. The Crop-A-Dile looks like it has about 1 1/8 inch reach but that works for me. Hope that helps.

thanks debbie! i already have them then. i just didn't realize what they were called (duh). the reach on the c-a-d is rather limited. i'll have to think on this a bit, and see how far in from the edge i usually put my eyelets.

well, just for using on heavy projects I decided to go crazy and sift thru the recycling for my 50% off Michaels coupon and just got home with the CAD! (the nurse in me keeps cringing and thinking that is Coronary Artery Disease but Crop-A-Dile is a far, far better thing!) I got a darling mini brag book from a friend done with baseball card protectors and she said she punched thru all of them at the same time (I think about 6 or easily with the C-A-D and I also thought it woudl be helpful for matt board (for journals, etc.) and wow, even metal? Who knew???

Not something I probably would have purchased at retail but for 50% off, I was all over that like ugly on a gorilla! Jan (who actually managed to resist looking at all the pretty patterned ribbons also on sale while at the M store!)
