You know, I WAS doing pretty well with my craft budget.
A friend showed me the mat pack today
Yeah, I gotta have one of those, and their paper pokey thingy is waaay better than the one I have
So, I just watched a video on using the mat pack to set eyelets! OMG Where HAVE I been? This is awesome! I've been setting them with a hammer and this gizmo.
Yeah, now I think I want one of those too  BUT FIRST I need to know if I can use it with the eyelets I already have, or does it work only with SU eyelets?
Crop-A-Dile is made by We R Memory Keepers. They sell eyelets that you can get at M's. I have the Crop-a-Dile Big Bite and I've been using Making Memories eyelets without a problem.

I saw the Crop-A-Dile in the Stampin' Up catalog so I thought it was their product. See it here: Stampin' Up! Online Ordering
I use several brands of eyelets with my Crop-a-Dile. It's on sale at Joann.com: crop+a+dile : Shop | Joann.com Free shipping - no minimum - Expires 3/25: PZF85
You can buy the Crop-a-Dile at lots of places, and even use a coupon or find it on sale at Michaels and Hobby Lobby. And probably Joanns. I don't go there that often, so I don't know if they currently carry it.
Here it in on sale at Amazon for only $12.00. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see it:
I've had a crop-o-dile for a couple of years. It set normal, small and large eyelets. I don't have any SU! ones, but there are brands which are good to use, and others which are not so good to use. (although I think that's an issue with using any tool to set the eyelets, not just the crop-o-dile) I love that the crop-o-dile will make holes in many things, such as CD's, leather belts, chipboard etc. It's not just for setting eyelets!

Yeah, SU! sells lots of products that are manufactured by others. They must have some kind of reciprocity deals. I'm speaking of tools mostly. (For example, they sell the Big Shot too, which is by Sizzix (Ellison). Then they sell their own dies which are made just for SU!.) Their stamps, papers, inks and ribbons are purely SU! but other products are not solely SU!, just available through them.

You know I've noticed several things on their catalog are more expensive than other places.

That's true, but when you buy from an SU Demonstrator, you get personal service and they can show you how to use everything they sell. You don't get that at a Hobby Lobby or Michaels. What you do get is ideas, and stampin' friends in the bargain. I'm not a Demo!

You just have to know what is available where.
But I do have to add in, they only carry good quality stuff. I especially like their ribbon - you can really tell the difference in quality of their ribbons to craft stores. (not a demo either) So, some of the things are worth it!
