Default Crocheted Flowers in new In Colors...

I stumbled across a link on SCS a while back, a tutorial for crocheting those adorable flowers using embroidery floss..
I picked up some skeins of the floss, matching the new SU! In Colors, and finally got the pattern down for how to crochet these tiny things..
They are SO CUTE! I can get 4 single flowers out of one thing of floss, and they are the perfect size embellishment for a card or scrapbook page.
They would even look cute appliqued on a pair of jeans, or on a little girl's hair barrette! The possibilities are endless!
I think I am going to put some in my etsy store...who knows!
Thanks SCS for all the great resources!

I've made some of these, too, and they are just too cute!

I tried using the floss, but got impatient with the strands splitting, so I went back to regular crochet thread.

I don't have the in colors, so it works out okay with the papers I use.

I love coming on here & finding so many fun things to try.

You can also make these in white & dye them with your inks to match.

Yeah, me and ink would not be a good mix...I tend to make quite a mess...for 34 cents a skein, well worth the purchase!
Have you tried to dye with re inkers? My demo and I were discussing this...does the concentration of the dye, make the color on the white flower VERY dark? or would you have to dilute the dye?
ANyone tried this?

Here is an attachment photo of the flowers I added to my shop...Things at etsy are hit or miss, but I figured for the cost of listing an item, I didn't have anything to lose..
Here are the matches for DMC--I got the list off this site somewhere..
In Color 09-10
Soft Suede 610
Rich Razzleberry 3802
Bermuda Bay 958
Melon Mambo 3805 or 335
Crushed Curry 728
Dusty Durango 921

Thanks!
ETA:: I brought swatches of cardstock with me, and they matched up good with what I had found on the list here..fwiw

Your flowers in the new in-colors are so beautiful. The match so perfect. I wish I knew how to crochet these too. I looked at the PTI instructions & have no clue even how to start. I've never touched a crochet hook in my life. Will you do a youtube video on how to do these? I learn better by watching & hands on. Thanks!

I seriously need to learn to crochet! I love those little flowers but can get a bit pricey if you buy them through SU. I have a friend who sells them for 50. cents each...I just recently bough $20 worth! I know I can probably make more if I learned! Where would I be able to find an easy to start crocheing how-to book?

Go to your local library and see what they have to offer for check-out.
