Default Conditioning rubber stamps?

So I know you have to condition clear stamps, but I've never heard of conditioning rubber stamps. I went to make a card with one of my stampin up stamps and it beaded up worse than the $1 clear stamps I have. Do I condition it the same way (with a white eraser) or is there something else to do?

Sometimes a good cleaning will do the trick, too.

If I have that problem, I clean my stamp with Ultra Clean.

You can also use a bit of masking tape if you're still having trouble. Just stick it to the stamp and peel it off, then turn it and stick it in the other direction and peel it off - usually does the trick!

I think when it happens it's usually that the stamp still has a little of the release agent that's used to make sure it comes out of the pressing mold.
