Question Comparison of QK's Silhouette and Cricut, Wishbone etc

Can anyone give me any information to compare these types of cutting systems or make a recommendation?
Thanks!

Default Cutting Systems Comparison

Hi,
I belong to a Yahoo group called "Wishblade" and there are some good comparisons on the group site. You might try that.

I've got a Wishblade and I love it. I've used a Cricut and it's pretty neat, too. I hear the Silhouette is the same as the Wishblade - even made by the same company.

If you're comfortable with a computer, the WB would be great. The Cricut is very easy to use (my then 13-yr old daughter had no problems using it), but requires continued investment if you want to expand with different cartridges.

Hope that helps!

I think it is the Craft Robo and the Wishblade that are made by the same company.

Hmmm... maybe all three are made by the same company? Craft Robo, Silhouette and Wishblade?

Yes, the Silhouette and Wishblade are the exact same machine as the Craft Robo. They just have a little bit different software, they were changed by Quickutz and Xyron. But the machines themselves are the same.

The CR machines are pretty cheap now, and come with free updates where the S/WB machines have been charged for updated software...

The Cricut is a great machine, however you have to buy cartridges for each new font you want to use, or each new shape. With the CR you can design your own shapes, scan and trace anything, use clipart, weld letters together, etc. All things you can't do with a Cricut.

Email me if you'd like more info about the machines. I've been selling and using them for about 18 months now and am happy to help you find the right machine for you!
