Default Which companies have the best stamp images for coloring??

I used to think Magenta, but there are new companies, and other stamp lines have changed their style.

As I work to improve my abilities with Prismacolor pencils, I've been looking at the images people use in the gallery with great interest.

Please share your favorites!

Sorry, I think this is impossible to answer without knowing what type of images you like.

Most images can be sucessfully colored if they are not silhouettes or don't have a lot of detail lines. Even those with some heavy detail lines can be colored .

I would suggest when you see an image in the gallery that you like take note of the name of the image and the company that sells it Then check that company out to see if there are other images you also like .

Barbara Jay, I'm not looking for what I know, I was trying to find what other people like. There are so many styles and types. What are your favorites?

My favorite is Whipper Snapper, especially the snowmen stamps. I have lots and lots of them and love to color them adding shading to the snow bodies and lots of different colors to hats, scarves, jackets, etc. It's my favorite way to relax.

A Muse is my all-time favorite. Some images I color, and others I use my colored inks. I like the variety! =)

I didn't know about Whipper Snapper, they are cute images! They do look like they would be fun to color!

I've always liked Stampers' Anonymous and Fred Mullet, but they are not really the best for coloring. Now, Stone House stamps are and I love them.

I just started using Copic markers, which means my stamp needs have changed. Like you, I'm looking for more stamps that I can color in like a coloring book.

The Magnolia stamps are cute if you want big cheeked kids: MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS - The best source for Magnolia Stamps in North America!

But I think my favorites in that category would be the C.C. Designs stamps from All That Scraps: C.C. Designs Stamps : All That Scraps, Warm fuzzy place to indulge your passion for scrappin

I am really looking forward to buying stamps from Rubbernecker: RubberNecker - Rubbernecker Stamps

And Impression Obsession's Gary Robertson line has a few that want, too: Gary Robertson: Impression Obsession Rubber Stamps

My budget is small so I haven't bought many stamps but the few I have from

The Greeting Farm - A New Crop of Rubber Stamps!

and Hero Arts: Card making, scrapbooking and craft ideas with rubber stamps, clear stamps and cling stamps!

Only have a couple Hero Arts but if I could find some local
I would be buying more. Excited to see everyone's suggestions. My
birthday is coming up and I am going to buy me some treats!!

I've really gotten into coloring with PrismaColor pencils. I have purchased several stamps from Lockhart Stamp Co. and Northwoods Stamps. I like the florals and nature images they both have. Northwoods seems to give you "lots" to color! Isn't it fun looking for stamps to try with new techniques?

My faves are PTI's Year of Flowers series. A lot of times, we're our own worst critics, but here is a card I did using the Gladiolus set, that I love: You're the Friend Everyone Wishes She Had by uncbballfan - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Linda, that's quite lovely! I looked up PTI and found one of them what's the company's name? While looking, I found this calendar stamp, and thought it was pretty cool too.

They are so pretty!! I especially like the Sprinkling Can, Garden Shelf and Wheelbarrow. I did not need to see those because now I have more to add to my wish list. LOL

I love coloring Whiff of Joy and Flourishes stamps. I find that they are both good for using Copics, Prisma's or both. I do end up using both coloring mediums most of the time because there are some smaller areas on the images that my copics just won't color without making a blob mess so I use my Prisma's to fill in. There are days that I stamp several images and just color away without making a card just because the mood for coloring takes over and relaxes me.

The Embossing Arts line at I Brake for Stamps is one of my favorites that hasn't been named yet!

I have some of Embossing Arts stamps and I like them too! I was so sad when they went out of business. I didn't realize someone bought their images. Good to know

Are you old enough to remember when Embossing Arts sent out paper catalogs? I loved the papers they used to sell too. I'd get the wild animal prints to go with the African animal stamps.

Great thread! My favorite stamps to color lately are:

Penny Black (especially the Hedgies and Mice clings but also check out the gorgeous wood floral and garden stamps!)

Impression-Obsession Alesa Baker line especially this rose stamp. Some of her stamps also come in clear and rubber cling sets.

Serendipity Stamps has a bunch of flower stamps that I want!

I am biased but I like PSA Essentials Peel & Stick stamp designs - the Whimsy Cake and the Whimsy Tree sets are perfect for using Copics or Prisma. You can really color up all the designs and bring the stamps to life. Check them out PSA Essentials - Peel and Stick Stamps - Interchangeables
