Ooh, that's hard because I love them all LOL I don't have that many, though...I use all the clear ones (diamond, icicle and crystal), and the Christmas Red a lot. Are there certain colors you tend to use a lot? Like, if you do a lot of girly cards then a pink or purple would be quite useful.

Like Lynn, I love my Diamond, Crystal and Icicle. I do use yellow for flower centres, and I also like my pinks and purples. If you're thinking ahead to Christmas projects, then red and green would be great choices too.
Stickles are great-so much fun and inexpensive-so it's easy to build up a great collection! Have fun!
I tend to use Stickles the most for flowers, leafs, water and snow.
I really like Waterfall, Eucalyptus, and Fruit Punch for water and flowers. The colors are soft, somewhat translucent, and have lots of sparkle.
I make a lot of cards during Autumn, that have sparkly leafs, pumpkins, etc.
For those I like using Lime, Orange Peel, Christmas red, Gold, Copper and Cinnamon. The colors are more saturated... not as translucent as the ones I mentioned above. Cinnamon and Burgundy are dark... really pretty!
I just bought a bunch of Stickles the other day and I'm waiting for them to arrive. I got Lavender, Purple, Baby Blue, Turquoise and Magenta... to use for flowers mostly.
Something to keep in mind about Stardust, is that it's holographic looking... Crystal, Diamond and Icicle are not.
I'm not sure how one would use Gunmetal... it's kind of an odd color.
Good luck in your decision... it's not easy to choose from so many pretty colors! Try to narrow it down by figuring out what kind of glittery cards you're mostly likely to make... flower cards, holiday cards, etc.
I like yellow and orange for flower centers, green for leaves, waterfall looks good for waves on ocean scenes. i LOVE stickles but sure wish they would dry faster.
I have several colors, but hardly ever seem to use the colored ones.
The ones I use most are Diamond and Crystal. They seem to take on the color of the stamped image wherever I use them.
Same here!

I have a question about stickles... can you use a paint brush to smooth the color on?
I was thinking about a leave or something that you wanted complete coverage, but yet, not a thick ton of coverage.

(these are becoming a HUGE addiction!)
I don't know if it's possible to use a brush to create sheer coverage. I hope someone can answer that question for you.
I have used a brush to dab glitter glue that had turned thick, gloppy from age. I squeezed a big blob of it onto a paint tray and dipped my brush into it. I was using it to add shimmer to very small leafs. It was a bit of a pain, time consuming, but in the end you couldn't tell if fresh or old glitter glue had been used... it looked the same.

I use Diamond but have about 30? colors. Diamond is my favorite. I did find that when I applied it over Stampin Up real red it turned the ink pink...anyone else find that?
Blessings.
I use them mostly for my water scenes and beach pages, so I have hues of aqua, blue, green and dark blue! LOVE how they turn out on a page or card!
I do have fushia and purple but havent used them that much - they are pretty bold and I think they will need a specific purpose (I bought them for flower centers on ONE card, lol)
Where do you buy them at? The only place I've found them online is at Scrapbook.com They have about 20 colors.
I love mine.. I have only one... Diamond.
Most scrapbook stores here have at least some colors available. allthatscraps.com also has them, if you do a search for stickles you'll get to them more quickly.
I use Crystal the most followed by Gold, Sliver, Platinum, I have all the other colors ard use them on a regular basis but the ones listed are my favs. Oh and I have Icicle and HATE it, the glitter chunks are bigger and for me it's a pain to work with.
My all time favorite is Stardust. I get it from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. (look under Ranger)
Also, she will be carrying a NEW product called Shimmerz. It's a shimmer paint that comes in a little jar. You can paint it directly over your whole image or just parts.
