I bought some Gina K stamps and LOVE that they are on cling mount because I also have recently bought MFT things stamp which are acrylic. I love that I can use either of these on the blocks I have and the ones I plan on getting. The problem is I took advantage of the bella free shipping and placed my first bella order. I am leaning away from doing the tac n peel cause I love the convenience of the cling mount. If I do cling mount how do I assemble? Also what would you recomend
The Stampabella stuff I have used is pretty small. You should do fine using some removable double-sided tape to attach the rubber to the block and then preferably stamp on a soft surface (mouse pad, paper pad, fun foam). This is the cheapest and easiest way. If you aren't satisfied with the results or start buying larger unmounted rubber, you can always move on to mounting. I have just about every form: bare rubber, HALOS, EZ Mount, cushion and cling, and I don't feel compelled to make them all the same format. If you go with Tack'n'Peel, it could be applied to your current blocks and just left covered when used with clear stamps, but, personally, I prefer having a separate block set with the Tack'n'Peel.
Hmmmm.... What is Tack 'n Peel? I have just recently gone back to the old "tried and true" method of putting Aleene's Tack-It-Over-&-Over on the back of my bare rubber stamps. They stick to the acryl;ic block and peel off again very easily.

I've used Tack n Peel (you put the sticky stuff on the acrylic block, not the stamp, and then any stamp you use will stick) but I didn't love it. I also use TIO&O on my bare rubber stamps - it's the system that works best for me
If you like the cushion of cling mount, you can purchase sheets of EZ-Mount. They have one side that clings to the block and one side that is sticky to put the bare rubber on. Once it's on the sheet, you need to trim around it.
I personally prefer to use my Bellas as bare rubber. I just put a few strips of double sided tape on my block, stick the bella on and stamp away!
AmyR did a great tutorial on her blog.....let me find it and link it for you.

Ditto...not really a fan of Tack n Peel. I use TIO&O on my smaller bellas, but on the larger ones (like PMSabella) I do like to mount with EZ Mount foam. Enjoy your stamps!!
I love my Tack n Peel, I have applied it to three of my inexpensive blocks and use it all the time, it holds bare rubber beautifully and I even use it on SU stamps that I have cut out, but have not removed the waxed paper from. I do all of my stamping on a 6mil sheet of fun foam so I do not need any extra cushion. I love that I do not have to put anything on the stamps, only a one time mounting on a block.
I too have been unmounting my rubber from their blocks. I'm using Tack It Over and Over... I've been putting the TIO&O on the backs of my rubberstamps. I'm getting tired of that...so now with my Halos system that I've had for yrs now, I bought some more to put on the rest of my rubberstamps. I like to use the EZ mount, but that stuff is pricey for one sheet $4.50. And with all the thousands of stamps I have, that would run into money.
I also bought two boxes MSE and have laminated the chipboard folders that come in the box and put my rubberstamps on those so they stick to those good. And have the tabs marked on them...fruits,flowers and etc...
So far, the tack it over and over is working great.
How are the rest of you storing your unmounted stamps?
Robin
For years I have been storing my UM stamps on sheets of plastic (mostly report covers) inside page protectors, inside 3-ring binders. (I do have ay LEAST a thousand stamps in 10 or 11 binders)
BUT, while I was putting A's TIO&O onto some new rubber, I remembered that I had some pages from old "magnetic" photo albums. Wow! They work great with the TIO7O. I started a thread about it just a couple of days ago. El Cheapo storage...
OMG, I learned about using this adhesive from this forum, and I work at michaels and am in charge of the dept that includes this stuff, and I never realized what you would use this for. So I got it, and I am so impressed! I love this website and reading the forum. You girls are all SO incredibly helpful! So I highly recommend using this product for your unmounted rubber stamps, and I even tried it on the back (smooth side) of a nestabilities die and it works great in my cuttlebug! Sometimes the die shifts around when you are trying to line everything up, so this is great! Thanks girls! Now I know what to show customers when they have a question about mounting UM stamps!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
BTW, I am storing my newly "tacky" stamps in empty cd cases! I have a ton of them just sitting in a box because we take our cd's out and put them in a cd sleeve type case. I take all the papers out and the plastic part that holds the cd tightly out and stick them there. This works great for nestabilities that I make tacky too! This method is free since I have all the cd cases just sittin in a box! Someday i will type up a little label of what kind they are so when I store all these cd cases, i can see which one i want easily! hope this helps someone else!
What I used to do (before I switched over to Tack and Peel) is coat one inside side of the CD case with A's TIOO instead of putting it on the stamps - I also put it on one side of each appropriately sized acrylic block. So the rubber wasn't sticky, just the CD case and the blocks.
........ and I even tried it on the back (smooth side) of a nestabilities die and it works great in my cuttlebug! .........
Wow!! New idea for storing my nesties! I have them in photo sleeves, but was using double-stick tape to keep them on the cardboard insert. This makes a lot of sens. I will have to try it.
