Default Chipboard weights

I just bought some chipboard on ebay that was supposed to be Medium weight but seems a little less than that to me. It is also supposed to be 1/16 of inch thick but my rulers say more like a millimeter thick. Need your expert opinions on what I should be expecting from MW chipboard. Please help!
