I am new to the crafting world and hoping that you all could recommend some brands of cardstock to me. The only nice paper I know of is Bazzill. What other paper to you love or consider a "must have" in your collection?
I love Stampin' Up! paper!! It's great and the colors are gorgeous! Hope you find something that works for you!
I am with you on this. SU paper is great and it is color thru and thru. I use SU paper all the time and have every color. I do use Gina K's really heavy white card stock when I an working with things outside SU.
I love Papertrey Inc, SU and Gina K. I use the PTI for the card base, SU for layering, the colors match very closely to each other without the extra weight, and I use Gina K Pure Luxury White for stamping my images, You can use Copic's, Prismas and all other coloring mediums on Gina's CS. There are so many types of CS out there that you might want to look into buying sample pkg and see which you like the best for weight, color and texture. Gook luck
Where do you live? We have a "warehouse" paper company in Minneapolis called Anchor Paper. You can also buy from them on line. Thick, nice quality cardstock.
I also am a fan of Stampin Up's paper (I'm not a demo). I've never had a bad piece!
CoreD'inations has some really PRETTY colors. They also have inner core color that is different... so you can do interesting things with it... but I like it for some of the pretty colors.
Wow! There are so many companies. Thank you for all of your favs. I really do plan on trying them all.
I'm in Delaware so I do most of my shopping online. I have a Ms, AC, and JoAnns about 30 minutes from me but most of this sounds like 'direct order from the manufacturer'.

If you would like to try Stampin up's paper you can go to stampin up. find a demostrater, in your area and talk to her directly to order.
Stampin' Up is terrific, but their white is not sturdy enough for a card base, so for that I use Papertrey Ink. I have tried cardstock from craft stores and with the exception of Bazzill, it all sucks. It's thin and does not cut well in the cricut. I like being able to purchase packs of single colors also. Enjoy your new hobby!!
I used to only use Stampin' Up, but found that the card stock does not hold up. It is too thin for the cards I make and it seems to warp. I love the card stock from Gina K Designs. It is much thicker and doesn't warp. It also embosses beautifully with Spellbinder's dies.
I don't pruchase nuetral colored cardstock from SU.
However, being a member of this site, the In colors and color combinations are
THE reason I joined this site. Such awesome color combinations, on Tuesday challenges on this home page; that really make
a card. I also love Gina K, white and ivory; her product gives the VERY BEST
stamped impression

If you are stamping make sure you purchase cardstock that is super smooth for the best quality stamping. I picked up a piece of white cardstock tonight and stamped an image. It just didn't look right and I realized I hadn't used whisper white. I did it over using whisper white and the image looked perfect. I'm addicted to stampin up just for the ease of the color combos and the smooth quality for stamping. I'm sure there are other good brands also but try stamping on them to check out the images.

I'm with Jackie1 on this. OVE PTI, SU and Gina K. I also use Pegasus Cover white (a real sturdy cardstock) for my card bases...I get this from a warehouse called Papers Plus. I layer with SU and Papertrey Inc. I love Gina K CS, but haven't been able to purchase much yet. It's on the list, tho!! =)
HTH. Blessings,
Kat

I also use Bazzill too, if I don't have the correct shade and don't want to wait or don't want a whole pkg of a particular color. This paper is great for layering, but not for card bases as it's just too lightweight.
Blessings,
Kat
P.S. You can buy really small quantities of paper from PTI ~ great option, great prices!
