Default Cardstock Recommendation

Hi! I have for many years used Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock for my card bases. It is/was a smooth 110lb paper that came in over 40 shades. I'm starting to get low on some colors and it appears the brand has been discontinued. Rather than searching all over for the colors I'm missing, I'd like to start filling in those colors with a new brand of paper that's comparable. Anyone have any suggestions? The 110 lb is a requirement, although I'd probably settle for 100 lb. I'd love to use a paper that has many shades.
Thanks, Linda

I have a few friends that swear by PapertreyInk paper. It is very heavy and comes in lots of colors. A friend sent me a sheet in a variety of colors. Very pretty. I'm quite impressed. But it only comes in letter size, which means it is not ideal for scrapbooking. (My albums are 12" x 12")

Bazzille is part of the American Crafts family now and you may be able to find what you want on the AC website. HTH

Gina K and Papertrey Ink have lots of colors and Michael's Recollection 110 lb is very heavy and besides white, ivory and black it also comes in packages of colors like blues, greys, etc.

Default cardstock

Stampin' Up also has a large selection of heavier cardstock in quite a lot of colors. They always have other items and embellishments in coordinating colors, as well as inks. I have used them for many years and sell them and love the weight of the cardstock as well as the designer papers, which are in coordinating colors.

Scratch the PapertreyInk cardstock recommendation.
I just learned that their $3 cardstock packs now costs $5 and their $5 cardstock packs are now $7. They are currently running a sale but the sale price is higher than the non-sale prices just a couple weeks ago.

Bazzill is still available in many stores. Michaels, Joanns, Scrapbook.com, Paper works, Create for Less, Michaels, Amazon...that's just the first page of a Google search.

Scrapbook.com has 201 different items in Bazzill papers...
https://www.scrapbook.com/store/bran...ll+basics.html
...including double thick (120 pound) white cardstock in 12x12 (at least). You should be able to find what you need there.

By the way, American Crafts acquired Bazzill Basics back in April of 2014, according to this (and others) website... https://nallystudios.com/blog/2014/0...bazzill-basics

Michael's and Paperworks have no Card Shoppe cardstock left. Joanne's has 3 colors left of the 12 x 12. I use 8.5X11. Create for Less does have the 8.5 x 11, but only two colors. Amazon does have a few colors left in 8.5 x 11 with absolutely ridiculous prices for shipping. What this all comes down to is that it is increasingly difficult to find the Card Shoppe papers. I think it's time for me to transition over to another brand I can conveniently find in many colors. And I prefer to buy packages of 5,10 or 20, etc. of one color at a time. I appreciate the recommendation of Gina K. It is certainly one I'm considering. The Papertrey makes me a little nervous as their Perfect Match is all on sale. Wonder why? But they have wonderful colors. Does anyone know if they;re discontinuing their Perfect Match? Thanks for all the suggestions. Perhaps I'll buy a few colors of the Gina K and Perfect Match and see how they compare to the Card Shoppe. That line really had me spoiled...great paper at a very reasonable price.

Papertrey is celebrating their 14th anniversary so most things, including cardstock, are on sale until the 28th. They did just increase the price of their cardstock, which is the first time they've done it since I've been buying it (since 2009). Even with the increase, it's still reasonably priced compared to other brands. And it is also good quality heavy weight cardstock.

My Favorite Things also has good quality heavy weight cardstock with a nice selection of colors and they recently released new colors, so there may be even more on the horizon. I also recently purchased a few colors of Hero Arts cardstock and it's a nice heavy cardstock too.

Default I second the PTI cardstock

I second the recommendation of PaperTrey Ink/ Ink to Paper. I ordered a few packs during their 10 year anniversary sale and loved it. The colors are so beautiful. I was impressed with how heavy it was. I got a sampler pack and it gave a great selection of their colors.

Beware of Recollections 110 lb cardstock. I have few many colors in packs. I find the quality well below other 110 lb cardstock.

Thanks mxgirl71. That certainly makes me feel better that they're not lowering the price because they're discontinuing their cardstock. I'm anxious to see their colors in person. Right now I just need a few to start filling in my most "used up" colors.

Default Papertrey and Recollections

Warning: Recollections cardstock is not 'square.' When you cut a page in half and fold with your scorer, the edges rarely fit perfectly. I have had to trim down a card after cutting to make the front match the back.
LOVE Papertrey! Wonderful colors and weight. I recommend buying a sampler package, then you can see the actual colors and order more. The price is still Very Good compared to other companies and they have some coordinating patterned papers that are very cute. No flowers but Color-and-white patterns. MANY unusual colors, subtle colors and bold. Inks to match.
The Birthday sale states Not on cardstock, but the Perfect Match is on sale now.
