Default Card Makers Kit club

I joined this club:
http://www.creativestampingkitclub.com/

I got my intro kit last week, and started work with it today. I like the projects, colors, designs, but I HATE the stamps. The first two I tried had low spots, so they are impossible to stamp with. I tried to put a shim under the low spot behind the acrylic stamp but never got it lined up right.

The big rose stamp in the kit is the best for doing the layering technique, and it took my three full sheets of cardstock to get three "decent for the area I want to cut" images!!

Arghh!

Are all the stamps such low quality?

Off to find a big rose stamp somewhere else...

Anne

I looked at the site and, yea, I think you are in for some low quality stuff. Don't know specifically about their stamps but I subscribed to one of the other clubs in their "family" and got a few kits that were total junk and a few that were OK. Call their CS and tell them what is wrong, a lot of their customers may not know the difference.

It was reviewed here on SCS and they raved about the stuff... even the stamps. I post on the comments of the review, I will see if anyone answers there.
Do they have to be nice if they get sent the stuff for free?

Hi Anne -

Sorry you had trouble with your kit. I would definitely contact the company if you got a defective product. Our product review team reviewed a kit, and none of the team had this issue. I was on that review cycle and I received clear polymer stamps of the exact same quality of other clear stamps I own, nice pigment ink, and paper and embellishments. I have had both clear and rubber stamps from many companies that have low spots over the years, and I just return them and get new ones. It's usually just a problem with the mold.

Our product review team doesn't have to "be nice" - they are doing product reviews, so their reviews contain their opinions, the good, the bad and the ugly, as you will see if you read each one. Our goal is to give the stamping community a full, thorough and honest review of each product we take on, and I think the teams have done an excellent job of just that.

However, if you have a defective product or something that you don't like, you certainly need to contact customer service and get it fixed.

Whew! I figured, but you never know. Nobody mentioned a problem in the review, and several mentioned the stamps were nice. I did email customer service, but have not heard back yet.

Hey Anne,

I agree with Lydia - contact the customer service and let them know. It could be just a defective set you got.

I was one of the gals who posted on the other thread and designed some of the projects for one of the kits. I have to tell you that I was very impressed with the quality of the stamps... they were of equal or better quality to the other acrylic stamps I use. (I did not use the stamps from the set you are speaking of, it looks like the ones I used - travel themed - were much smaller.)

I didn't have to be "nice" in my review either... in fact... if I didn't like the product, I wouldn't have designed the projects with it. I take that very seriously as my reputation as a crafter/teacher/designer is very important to me.

I hope you are able to resolve this to your satisfaction.

Hugs!

Great, thanks. I hope to hear back from customer service soon. I did love the colors, projects and other supplies, so I hope I do get better stamps. If there had only been one defective stamp, I wouldn't have been concerned, but the first two I tried were...
