Smile CARD INSERTS

hello ladies! just want to ask if you normally put a card insert in your card or you just leave it as is? if you do put one, what sort of paper are you using? I'm using 12x12 scrapbook papers (plain pastel ones) but I'm afraid when it runs out, I wouldn't know what to use. I normally use square cards so I custom-cut it. is the regular copy paper/bond paper good enough to be inserts?

thanks in advance! have a blessed day!

All of my cards have insets, I think it gives a more professional/finished look to the card. I use good quality printer paper. I stamp my inside sentiment before sticking it to the inside just in case of boo boos. I use double sided tape to stick it to the front side so when the card is opened the insert opens as well.

Thanks Kathleen! That's what I also think. My scrapbook papers are plain pastels and most of the time complements with the colours I used on the card itself. I'm just wondering if there are other kinds of inserts that I can use. So all your inserts are white in colour? Do you just do half of the card or the whole card? (for the inserts)

Oh! I've just noticed we're both from the Land Down Under! We're having a bright sunny day here in Sydney atm. How about there in VIC?

Hi, I don't know about QLD, I am in Melbourne, lol.
Sorry I didn't explain very well. I fold my reflex brand paper in half and then cut it, half a centimetre smaller than my finished card. I only adhere to the front side of the card the other side isn't stuck to the back of the card. This way it sits flat if the card is opened out flat.

Hmm I got it all edited to VIC but you still saw my previous QLD post? LOL! Sorry about that! Thanks for the info. I'm browsing at you gallery right now and I like how you made those coasters. I have some coasters here waiting to be done but first things first. LOL! I have a bit heaps of christmas cards orders to finish but I like the coasters as gifts. Maybe I should try a set.

Thanks. If you have any questions about the coasters just contact me. I would sugguset making a couple as practise ones first before making ones for gifts. You need to find a place that is level and as dust free as you can for when the gloss is drying. You will be surprised at what isn't level when you make them. My friends say they are gloss challenged so I do their glossing part for them, I find it very relaxing. good luck.
