Default Can you use the Fiskars Texture Plates w/a Cuttlebug?

I've got several of the Cuttlebug embossing folders, but also liked some of the Fiskars texture plates. Will they work using my Cuttlebug?

TIA

Yup. You will have to wade thru the posts here on this thread, but it will give you some good ideas on using the fiskar plates with the cuttlebug. I have some myself, but haven't got around to using them, yet.

me too! I never used them cuz it was too much work. So thanx to this thread, I hauled them out this morning and with some fiddling came out with a super nice embossing job.

Thanks for the idea!

Hi yup you sure can! Just make sure to lightly spritz the cardstock you want to be textured with water.

Here's the sandwich recipe starting from bottom to top...

Plate A,
Fiskars texture Plate,
Cardstock (right side towards Texture Plate),
Rubber gasket (you can find one at Home Depot or Lowes by asking for shower pan liner),
Plate C

What does the water do?

it would make the paper more flexible for embossing... know what I mean? go ahead and do a test on one unspritzed paper and one spritized paper. You'll know what I mean.

FYI - not everyone can use the same "recipe". Some of the cuttlebugs are tighter than others. You might have to change the recipe around.

Yep. For my Big Shot, I had to do -
the white platform
a clear piece
piece of craft foam
cardstock
texture plate
a clear piece

That worked really well, but you have to line the cardstock and
texture plate so they are back a bit from the front edge. That
gets it going in!
