Default Big shot from SU

I got a SU Big Shot! I have some spellbinder dies. Can you use any embossing pad with it or just the spellbinder pads? I just used my big shot tonight for the first time. Any advice to help me with my big shot would be greatly appreciated!!!

Google for "big shot sandwich spellbinders" and you'll find a whole lot of references with people listing sandwiches which work for them.

I use Spellbinders in my BS with BS cutting and spacing pads and the Spellbinders soft rubber embossing sheet. It works very well, in fact so far I haven't found anything which I can't use in my BS with the correct sandwich.

(in case you haven't heard the term before, 'sandwich' refers to the list of things which you pile up and roll through the BS).

Before I got a Wizard from Spellbinders, I got a Big Shot as a Mother's Day present from my family. My opinion is that the best embossing impression came with using 2 Spellbinders Tan Embossing Mats. The sandwich you need is listed inside the packaging of all Spellbinders dies and that sandwich works the best for me.

Stack from Top to Bottom:
Multipurpose Platform - all tabs closed
Die - cut side facing up
cardstock
2 Big Shot Acrylic Mats

Run this thru your machine to cut.

To emboss:
Multipurpose Platform
Die with cardstock inside
2 Spellbinders Tan embossing mats
12 x 6" piece of cardstock folded in thirds
1 Big Shot Acrylic Mat

Hope this helps!

I use mine with the multi-purpose platform. When embossing my sandwich has change a little bit since my machine is now "broken in"
