I've seen a couple different numbers after the infamous ATG. My LSS has a coupon for the ATG700 .5 dispenser for $39.99. I know this is supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread and I haven't found an adhesive I like as much as the CM tape runner so wondering if this is the one I want. Please advise. Thanks.
The 700 uses the 1/2 inch tape, the 714 uses the 1/4 inch tape. There is an adaptor for the 700 so you can use the 1/4" tape in it which is what I did. It takes a bit to get used to it but almost every one who has the ATG loves it. I prefer the duck tape but have the mono adhesive. I prefer the ATG to both. I never could stand the CM tape at all. Those little dashes drove me nuts and got stuck on everything but what I wanted to stick. See if your lss has one set up that you can try.
I started out with the 700 but quickly got sick of changing the adhesive because I use both 1/2 and 1/4". So now I have one of each so that I don't have to switch between tapes any longer. I definatly love my atg. HTH

I bought the 700 because the 714 was on backorder until July and I couldn't wait that long. I also purchased the 1/4" adapter. I have been able to find the 1/2" 924 adhesive for a great price on Ebay. I just purchased 24 rolls for $1.50 each. There aren't such low low prices on the 1/4" from what I can tell, and for my purposes, the wider tape is just fine. So, for the money, I definitely prefer the 700. It just gives you more flexibility when shopping around for the best price on adhesives.
