Question Atg gun and tapes

Hello everybody,
I am from Turkey and I love scrapbooking. Unfortunately it is not a well known hobby here so I have to order most of my supplies from the international internet stores or ebay. so in order to prevent any mistakes, I have to read and learn a lot about the products...
So do you know anything about scotch atg gun and its tapes? Can we use the tapes for atg 700 with the 714 version?

I would be very happy if you could help.

Thank you very much

ps: please excuse my English for i am not a native speaker...

Welcome to SCS. You will love it here and beware it is addicting.

I have an ATG 714 and love it. It uses 1/4 inch tape and the ATG 700 uses 1/2 inch tape. You can use the 1/4 inch tape with the 700 but you must purchase an adapter to do so. I do not think you can use the 700 tape with the 714.

By the way, your English is great.

I have the 700 and i bought the adapter so i could use the 1/4 inch tape. It works great. I like the 1/4 inch for making my cards. Good luck!!

Thumbs up thank you

Hi,
Thank you very much for replying.

Now it is clear, I can see the difference between the two, that really helped a lot.

I think I also will buy the 714 one. It is great that it uses the 1/4 inch tape...

and thank you for your compliment about my English sometimes it really challenging for me...

You will love the ATG - best adhesive and tool around in my opinion. The tape is very strong and so easy to apply and so inexpensive!
