Thats funny...I was at my LSS yesterday and picked it up several times, but didn't get it....I was wondering the same thing. They had alot of colors....
I have several colors but haven't used it extensively yet. It gives a soft sparkle to whatever you spray it on, but at a lower volume than glitter. Just in playing around, I have spritzed it lightly on some DP and it gives it a slightly different look. I've really only used it on one card, which is linked below. You will probably see others if you click on the keyword "Glimmer Mist" in my description.
I love this stuff but it's SOOOOOOOOOO messy if you aren't careful. My LSS hsa carried it for a long time and the NEW colors that have come out are awesome!

Your card looks great...really gives a nice sheen....so did you use a rust colored mist? I saw they had one that looked like it didn't have any color...maybe that just adds gloss?
That color is Irridescent Gold and it gives just a soft glow as opposed to being a strong gold. I've real that a lot of people really like the Pearl color (it may be called oyster now, or the other way around).

Thanks,Catherine...might have to give it a try...they didn't have a price on it...what should I pay?
I don't have an LSS but might want to get glimmer mist... I love the sheen it gives cards and I think it would be fun for holiday cards! Does anyone know if it's available at any of the chain craft stores (Michael's, AC Moore, JoAnn) or an online store?
Parrothead - I am thinking of a golden color to spritz on the cardstock for making my christmas tags and christmas cards. I think that would look nice with the red and green colored carddtock and I'm using SU Keep Christmas stamps set for the cards. I have to go tomorrow as my LSS is closed on Mondays! I do not want to wait all the way until Tuesday to get it first! I eventually want to get red and green also.
Paperdoll Steph, I have not seen these at the chain stores, yet. I seen an ad in a magazine and then when I went my LSS today to get some mor eof the Studio G dollar sets today I saw them. The owner just put them out this morning.

The gold sounds like it would be very pretty....can't wait to see your cards....
Does anyone know if this Glimmer Mist is similar to using 1/2 tsp of Pearl EX in a little spray bottle of hairspray? It looks like it gives the same effect, or is there something special about the Glimmer Mist?
Has anyone tried both, and do you reccommend one over the other? I have a local store that sells Radiant Rain, but would have to order the Glimmer Mist online, and if they are similar, I could save shipping charges by just getting the Radiant Rain.

I wondered the same thing. I usually just make mine with the interf.gold Pearl Ex. 6.99 is high if you get the same effect.
Thanks.
I Love glimmer mist. I saw the demo at an expo and talked to the creater. My mom and I love it. It is different from any of the other products. The best way to use it is to first color a piece of cardstock using a sponge or they have a tool that you can use with an ink pad to cover the paper with color. This gives dimension. Then you can spray any color. You will need a brayer. The brayer helps even out the mist and helps so you don't have any globs. Then you need to heat with a heat tool. You can create so many different colors and effects. We have discovered that it is best to use three layers. Also, at our demo they had two finishing mists, Iridescent Gold and Pearl. These are very light, but give real glimmer to the finish. Just remember to heat after each layer and to use a brayer.
Kiko - great card! I've never heard of/seen this stuff (we don't have a LSS anymore :( ), but it gives it a fantastic look...LOVE it! TFS, and I'll definitely have to look for it!!
The best thing to have is the non-stick craft sheet when working with Glimmer mist. They have it at the mytatteredangels website. It won't let me post the link because I haven't been a member long enough. It is called Non-Stick Craft Sheet™ and works wonders. Nothing sticks to it and it is great for the glimmer mist because the mist just beads up and then you can use the brayer to pick it up and put it on your paper.
And the ink applicator that I was talking about can be found there as well. It is called Adirondack Alcohol Ink Applicator: I hope this helps. We really love this stuff.
Above, I said three layers, and I meant three layers of different colors.

Thanks Michelle.
And, haha56, thanks for the hint about heat setting it. I just spritzed it on and it seemed to be OK without the heat, but I'll try that next time.
Parrothead, I think this is the craft sheet. This is in Ellen's store if you want to get a look at it.
Thanks Catherine...is it really worth 18.00? Think I'll just go outside or in the garage to spray it on....unless its something thats really cool and I really need it.(LOL)...let me guess...its really cool!!!
Has anyone ordered directly from TtteredAngels? If so..how long did it take to get your order? I just called my LSS(they will have to order the limited edition ones)...said it was taking them about 2 weeks to get the order in....I'm wondering if it is quicker if I ordered myself.
The non-stick craft sheet is under shop, then under tools. This craft sheet is really nice. It has glass in it so you don't want to bend it or snap it. the glass lets you use a heat tool and then it won't melt what is underneath. It also is great because the glimmer mist just beads up and when you use a brayer it picks it up from the sheet. Also, I use it for a back drop for all my stamp work. Nothing sticks to it, not glue, ink, glimmer mist, anything that I have used. When I am done, I just wipe it off, roll it up and put it away.

I am lucky enough to live in the town where Glimmer Mist is made, and the inventor of the stuff put on a demo at my LSS, and it was SUPER. Try it with a stencil or even spraying onto a plastic lid and dragging your cardstock through the ink then rolling it out, even a different look. It does take some getting use to the sprayer, MAKE SURE your finger isn't over the front of the spray pump, keep it on the back half otherwise the liquid will pool and you will get spots not a fine mist, and shake the heck out of the bottle prior to using. You will have a great time. I got the Pearl, Iridescent Gold and Coffee Shop, but it was REALLY hard only getting 3 lol! It is a small family run business, so it does take some time for them to fill all the orders, but well worth the wait! The glass mat is on my Christmas wish list, have given dear husband directions to the LSS and told him that is the only place he needs to shop for Christmas, we will see if the direct approach works! The going rate is $6.95/bottle, because I was at a live demo got 20% off that, but think my LSS did that, not Glimmer Mist.

I don't have one! I just used a sheet from SU's grid worksheet pad, or newspaper. Also a roll of parchment paper would do the trick. The mist wipes right up, so I don't really see the need for this glass mat. I think it's a cool item, but I haven't bit the bullet to actually buy one.
I did run across a large (18" x 24") rolled up silicone mat (made for baking) by Kitchen Aid at Tuesday Morning the other day for $9.95 which I thought would be handy to lay on my glasstop range when using my embossing gun. I may use it for a glimmer mist shield!

I just talked to my LSS and they said it wasn't a big deal....put down some paper or in a cardboard box.... said it really wasn't bad....they had the lady that makes this do a demo in Sept.(can't believe I missed it)...said she never used a brayer....I'm going on Sat. to see some samples that they did.....they said it was great stuff...sure don't wanna wait 2 weeks for an order ,though!! (Don't ya just love Tuesday Morning!!!???).
Waaaaaa :( I don't like my Glimmer Mist. I got three bottles in the mail today and every time I used it the paper curled up or it sat in puddles on my paper. It looks like water with something funky that sits at the bottom. I shook it up and sprayed like you all said and Voila nothing . I have sugar cookie, iredescent gold, and snowflake. At least if the Sugar Cookie smelled good i could sniff my papers and enjoy them that way.

I had the curling problem but the I used my heat guna s someone else mentioned to and that took care of the curling problem. I love mine now and it looks so good.
I went to a workshop once where the demo put pearlex in a designated waater spritzer bottle with water and we got a shimmer effect. What does anyone know about this?

Dawn... Sorry you are disappointed in your Glimmer Mist. My paper curled also, but as dries it pretty much flattens back out. When you glue down your layer, it takes care of it. I didn't try spraying a single layer card so I don't know about that.
The "glimmer" is very subtle. You have to put it under artificial light to really see it. It is not bright like glitter.
Mrs Stampsalot... others have posted that they have used the Pearlex/hairspray mix to get a similar effect, but I haven't tried that.

The puddling does happen, that is why you need a brayer. The brayer will move the mist so it doesn't puddle and evens it out. Then use the heat tool.
The thing about glimmer mist is that there are so many colors. With the Pearlex/hairspray, you don't have the different colors. Also, you should layer the colors with glimmer mist for different effects.

Love the color layering idea! I purchased several bottles, including the new Limited Edition collections. Thanks... your tips will be very helpful.
