Smile Anyone tried versamark in wheel cartridges?

Hi Gals,
Has anyone tried using versamark in one of their wheel ink cartridges? I'm wondering if you have to reink the cartridge everytime? I'm wanting to have every color but I don't have enough cash in my purse to cover the cost!;)
I can't roll far with a large ink pad.... so the cartridge is my best bet I'm thinking...
thanks!

Yes, I actually recommend this to people instead of the individual ink pads. Much more economical!

I love doing this! It really adds versatility. You can leave it plain, with just a watermark effect, or you can go over the VM with chalk to add color... As to how often to reink, I hate to say it but it really just depends on you as much as anything else. Since VM is thicker and stickier than regular ink, it doesn't evaporate as quickly as others, but I think that also is what keeps the cartridge from getting a ton of ink into the pad...it won't all sink in.

Still, I'm sure you'll enjoy using it this way. Give it a try!

If you keep the cartridge in a sealed plastic bag, it won't dry out as quickly. I actually do this with all my cartridges, since those little plastic covers really do nothing to help keep the roller pad moist. The ones sold in the jewelry findings section are great, and you can write the ink color name on the bag with a Sharpie - the print on those labels is so tiny!

Oh, good tip! I never thought about the cartridges drying out over time. So you put each one in a separate bag and zip it up! I remember seeing a gal saran wrap each one of hers. Now I know why!

I only have a couple of cartridges but I think I'll also store them in a good tupperware-like container too if I'm going to take a rolling holiday!;)
