Default Anyone heard of Cloisonne High Gloss Granules?

My mom bought me two colors of these granules at a craft fair. There is little information inside the container. They appear to be similar to embossing powder, but the grains are much larger. I did a search on Google, and found a few references, but not much.

How do I use these? Anyone have any projects to share?

Thanks much,
Rene

I found this when I looked it up just now. How interesting! Seems to be a thicker embossing material.

That is gorgeous! Lilac haze is one of the colors I have too. I guess I'll be doing some experimenting soon.

Could you repost what you found? The site doesn't work for me. Thanks

The site doesn’t work for me either but from Billie’s reaction of “a thicker embossing material” and your description of it as having larger grains I’m imagining it’s similar to UTEE. Maybe you’d find some ideas for using it if you search with that more generic term rather than the brand name (UTEE just stands for ultra thick embossing enamel - several big brands do it, Cosmic Shimmer springs to mind as one that offers lots of colours).

I was looking through my embossing powders the other day and found two of these Cloisonne powders that I've had for years, but not used in a long time. I do believe they are an ultra thick EP, and the colors are so pretty.

Are they still available anywhere? By the way, where in Central Oregon are you?

There are several colors here; I've used some of the shabby embossing enamels and love them. Search for embossing enamels.

At the Maria's Art Creations site, It looks like Cloisonne granules are used for creating faux surfaces on objects. So it sounds like they're similar to the old Utee thick embossing powder effects not made anymore. Judikins and Distsress Embossing Powders make faux surfaces on paper, but these Cloisonne granules look like they could cover objects made of clay, wood or metal. I wonder if they're like Seth Apter's new embossing powders that work on all surfaces, including fabric. They're more ecoomical than Seth Apter's. Thanks for this!

Thanks for the info. I was looking for a specific color ((Lilac Haze) that doesn't appear on the sites where they are still selling it. I will see if I can find something similar in the products you suggested.
