Question Any Canadians who bought Copics "across the Border"

Hiy'all!

I was just wondering if anyone in our fair country has bought Copics in the States and has had them shipped across the border...what were the extra charges you incurred??

Or does anyone in Canada know of a supplier in Canada with competitive pricing??

I'm a little nervous to order them, and get stuck @ the border paying an extra chunk of $$ for fees, and ending up paying what I would have paid here anyway!

Just looking for any info....

Default Copics

Hi! I ordered my copics from My Favorite Things, and I wasn't charged anything in Customs. I ordered them this summer before the dollar was riding high, so I don't know if that affected the duty. I imagine they might be checking stuff more now that everyone is ordering from the states. Good luck! Jan

You shouldn't pay a 'duty' but rather if they get stopped a $5 processing fee and the GST and/or PST/HST dependent on where you live.

Some packages get stopped some don't its luck of the draw. I find larger valued packages due get stopped. Also depends on the company that is used to ship with them sometimes you will get a brokerage fee if shipped by UPS/fedex etc this is similiar to the processing fee.

Woolfitt's is the Canadian Distributor of Copics. They have basically every colour and product. I think they may be 25% off right now. You can look in their catalogue, or if you call them they will ship to you. They are based in Toronto.
