Default Where Can I Get Good, Thick Envelopes

I'm stuck. I'm looking for new A2 envelopes and for every review stating that the envelope is thick and not see through, there is someone saying it is. I'm sure I'm just looking in all the wrong places. I'm not looking for something that will break the bank, just something that will look like quality when I send my cards. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ive liked the Neenah envelopes at CutCardStock.com: https://www.cutcardstock.com/collections/a2-envelopes. I’ve also ordered cardstock cut down to A2 size, and their service has been great. You’re reminding me I need more envelopes too…

Thank you both. I think I will try the Neenah, but I will keep my eye on the Amazon envelopes.

I've had good luck with envelopes from Michael's. Check the paper crafting row and also the DIY wedding aisle.

I also have bought the 32# bond envelopes on Amazon. They are very thick and nice. Love them.

I get my A2 envelopes at Paper Source. They are back producing stock after having a slow year at their factory. Love the colors!

I am glad this question got asked. I am sitting on a ton from Heinrich but they are too thin for me.

I am thinking I would like at least 80#.

Thank you for the tip! I just saved a bunch on my envelopes! Usually I pay about $60 for 1000 and I just bought 3000 for $119! I just saved about $60! (Both totals include shipping.)

Side note: Oddly enough, card stock is MUCH more expensive to get cut and folded. I pay about $9 - $11 for 250 sheets of 110 lb paper from Neenah on Amazon to make five hundred A2 cards. To buy them already cut and folded would cost $94 at Clearbags! To top that off I can sometimes find "Used" paper which means the packaging is damaged but not the paper; for $7!

(With the price increases in lumber, it looks like paper is not spared. Right now this same ream of paper is $17! I'm glad I bought three reams at the "Used" price.)

I get these from Amazon. Thick and self-sealing.

I get my envelopes from Crystal Clear Bags. I'm in Canada so it is ClearBags.ca, but they are in the U.S. as well - CleraBags.com. I buy the Basis Envelopes - and even the white is not see-through. And they come in a whole range of lovely colours!

Default Hundreds of choices!!

My crafting group uses thousands of envelopes each year. I cannot be too picky, based on sheer number; however, I have always been pleased with the extensive selection and bulk cost of purchases from envelopes.com

Default DIY?

Are you unwilling to make your own? I know Stampin' Up! no longer makes their envelope Punchboard, but EK or one of the other guys (who makes the 123 Punchboard?) Still have one. I make tons! A2 takes a piece of 8" X 8" paper. I use the cheap Pen&Gear cardstock from Walmart to make a heavier envelope. I defer to other brands depending how picky I'm feeling...

I'm taking advantage of the Black Friday sales buying envelopes, cardstock and printer paper by the reams and glue, prices are increasing and some stock is low.
Papersandmore.com is going out of business with discounts up 75% off.
