When unmounting...

When you unmount...

Do you remount them onto EZ Mount, use the Tack-N-Peel, or other? And why?

For me it depends on the image. Most of my UM stamps are "nekkid" and I use Aleen's Tack it Over & Over. I bought some Tack n Peel but I don't love it because it gets ink on it and I can't clean it like I can my plain blocks. Some things I like to use EZ mount for...I can usually tell when I stamp the "nekkid" stamp if I'll need EZ mount or not.

My favorite is the new THIN EZ-Mount. I find it gives me a much better impression and less rocking.

It's is manufactured by Sunday International. http://www.sundayint.com

II know that it really isn't necessary but I enjoy EZ Mount. I don't want to do naked because it just would worry me that I'd rip the stamp when removing it. It may be difficult but I'm a worrier. I like the piece of mind EZ Mount provides. :D

I use the EZ Mount stuff -- both the thin and regular. I like the thin EZ Mount for the smaller phrase stamps because it is much easier to get a good impression.

I have been converted to EZ mount. I love the stuff and on Ebay I found a really good deal on 10 sheets for like $25. Makes life so much easier

I only have SU stamps so I left the foam on and use Ailene's tack over and over.

I keep my backgrounds on the wood and unmount all the rest.
I use ez-mount and acrylic blocks cause I love the cushioning of the ez-mount and how well it clings to the mounts.

Mostly ditto.

The exceptions - I don't add ez mount to Bellas, they don't need it.
I don't unmount the occasional stamp I purchase that's already mounted on wood, such as my lovely House Mouse stamps. If it's not on wood when it comes into my possession, it never meets wood.

Oh, and I don't use ez mount for SU stamps. I trim the stamp, stick the adhesive to vinyl window cling, and then trim that leaving a tiny margin (about 1/16th inch) because the cling expands and contracts with temp change. I've been using this method with success for 2 years. No regrets.

I am down to rubber only. Sometimes the stamp has enough sticky residue that I don't need TIO&O. When I use the TIO&O, I like to use the spray instead of having to paint it on. I have also been known to slap some repositionable glue stick on the back of the rubber and apply it to my block. Also, if you use double-sided tape on your block, try the repositionable tape, it doesn't gum up as much and is easier to remove.

Good luck in deciding which way to go.
