I registered with a demo for online ordering and just placed my first order. Do orders go straight to SU or do they first go to the demo who then orders from SU? I'm just curious what the process is and how it affects the turn-around time for an order. Thanks!
Orders are processed by SU when you place them online through a demo's website. The demo will receive confirmation that you placed the order. The turn around time is the same as if you placed it with the demo.
When you order online, from your demonstrator's business site or Stampin' Up!'s site the order goes directly to the SU! warehouse. An email is sent to your demonstrator to advise them of your order. You'll even get an email from Stampin' Up! advising when your package has shipped, complete with tracking number.
Right now the picking times are back down (2-3 business days whereas last week it was up to 5 business days) so your order should be picked relatively quickly.

I could be wrong, but an online order will be at least
$6.95 for shipping, where someitmes a dealer can
give the party shipping rate of 10% of sale if she
can fit it in with a party order. Correct me if I'm wrong

Yes, shipping is 10%, with a minimum of $6.95. Some demos do combine orders, but if they don't have any from other customers then they can't. We aren't supposed to hold orders for long.
Is anyone else still having a problem ordering online with SU? I saw a thread from 09/09 with similar problems, but I still can't get it to work! Here's my questions/complaints:
My demo doesn't come up when I search for her. There are other demos who live closer to me - does that mean I have to use them instead?
I set up an account. When I go to log in, it tells me my password is invalid. If I click the link to have my password sent to me, it tells me my email address is invalid! But it's not! I tried setting up a new account twice and I keep getting the same error message. I don't know if I can even call SU, I called once about a severly dinged order of cardstock and they told me to call my demo (I used to be a demo, so I thought I could call them still).
scoobydoo7......Not all Demonstrators/Consultants choose to have a website for ordering. The Consultant I have ordered from does not, so I'm stuck with having to do it via e-mail with her.
