Default Slice Electronic Die-cut Machine

Hello,
Does anyone have this new machine yet. If so, how do you like it?

I've had mine since Thanksgiving; it was my first electronic cutter. Many people (myself included) have complained that the smaller images and some of the circle/scallop shapes don't cut as they should; however, Making Memories has just sent out a "calibration card" to registered owners that is supposed to greatly improve the precision of the cuts. Personally, I tend to mostly use the larger images, so it wasn't as much of an issue for me (although I am glad for the calibration card).

I did have a brief problem for a couple of weeks with it not cutting (a few other people here have had the same thing happen), but in the end it seems that all it took was to properly tighten the blade unit. Haven't had a problem since.

I love the designs available (the Noteworthy card is awesome!), and I think the design cards are a great value (you can find them on e-bay for $25-30). It's portable, doesn't take up a lot of space, and I think is a versatile tool for cardmakers. Overall, I really like my little machine!

I have had the above mentioned problems, but I love my little Slice! Love it way better than my Cricut. That's just a personal preference.

I have to say, I'm pretty much in love with mine! The new calibration card they sent out helped a LOT with the smaller cuts. I SO second the comment about the price of the design cards! For about $25, you get tons of designs! There's no way you could ever buy that many punches, which is how I justify it. The new cards coming out are awesome, too!

I had one for about 2 weeks and returned it because it cut very poorly. I was so bummed because it's a breeze to use and my kids were loving it. I took it to school and it was a hit. It's a fun little machine! If a new & improved model comes out, I'll be all over it.

I love the designs on the design cards and the fact that the cards are so small & easy to store, but I wish the machine wasn't so hinky. I'm going to wait and see if there's a Slice II.
