Embossing Powder reviews?

Just wondering if the basic Ranger EP is good? Even for somewhat detailed images?

I have a bunch of Distress EP, but I need at least a copper and black for some basics....and the Ranger is on sale at Joann for $2.09.

Otherwise can you share your favorites??

And are you mainly using Versamark with EP or do you use a pigment ink under it? Or what?

My favorite is any 'detail' powder. Works for the solid images, but gives a much better result with the detailed or line images. Sometimes I use VM, sometimes I use colored pigment ink. Just depends on the result I'm looking for. To me, the images 'pop' more if you use colored pigment ink first. But, if I don't have the color of ink I want, I use the VM and colored EP. HTH
