I don't know how thick the Gemini metal plate is, but if it's about the same as the one for the Cuttlebug I would try bending it in the opposite direction of the warp.......over a rolling pin or center divider of a double sink. It may take a bit of work but keep at it for awhile and I think it might do the trick.

Thanks rockybeta for your reply ..I've tried all that. works for plates but not metal I've even had it under granite chopping board that weighs a ton lol for over a week I wonder if I heat it and put granite on top...I think I'm just going to have to put hand in pocket and buy yet another one! Lol
Thankx for your help

Are they not working? I wouldn't replace them unless they don't function.

I think I'd try the heat method first.......you might even be able to bend it if it's real warm........at this point it certainly can't hurt....! Good luck.

Are you having a problem with the metal plate? If not, I'd just flip and rotate it and not worry about it. That plate is almost identical to plates I used in my Cuttlebug and those got beat up too but worked fine. They're flexible so push into the spots where they're needed.

But if you're getting a really deep curve one question might be if you need the plate in all instances that you're using it, since it's not used for every sandwich. IOW, could there be too much pressure on it for some passes?

OT a bit but related - the video instructions suggest flipping and also rotating the regular Gemini plates with every pass. I do that (didn't at the very beginning, just flipped them) and they're fine.

I am concerned whatever made this one curl will make the next one too.
I am thinking your sandwich might be too tight? That happens to me with the big shot-I get it through without a fight, but the shims curl. Only takes a smidge to happen.

Contact gemini makers and see what they say.

That's how I warped my Gemini plates. My sandwich was too tight. You don't need all the shims they tell you to use in the book. Maybe later, when the rollers loosen up, but not when it's new. The plates still work just fine, though. Just last night, I used my Gemini to cut one of their intricate pop-out dies, and the warped plates cut the dies in one pass, with no missing spots.
