I already own the "old" red Sizzix, the Big Kick, Cuttlebug and today I bought the Revolution because it was $39.99 and I used a 40% coupon at Hobby Lobby. Too good a deal to pass up! Do I really "need" it??????????
I read on another thread that it's super easy to use the Nesties in this machine since you don't have to do any sandwiching like you do with some other machines. That's made me want to get it just to use with my Nesties and with my QK dies (I have a few of the Grand Alphas).
So are you saying the machine was $39.99 after the coupon or before you used the coupon? I put this on my Christmas wish list, but if I can use a coupon to make it $24, I might just have to go get it now and take it off my Christmas list. : )

It was $39.99 before the coupon....that is why I could not resist! I also wanted it for the nestabilities but have read on another thread that you can not emboss on the Revolution. Do you know anything about that????
I paid a lot more for mine a year ago and I would say it's worth it. I love it more than my digital cutter (a Silhouette). The main thing I like is you don't have to mess with sandwiches. Plus the base is magnetic, so your dies snap on and stay put. I also like the cookie cutter sticky mat to use with my nesting dies for cropping photos and stamped images. Nestabilities work perfectly in it. You can also use the QK nesting dies almost exactly the same, including embossing. You can cut thin felt, wood paper, etc. with it, and some thin chipboard. It will not cut thick chipboard.
It's very portable and very, very easy to use. Nothing complicated about it. It's also part metal, so it is sturdier to me than the cuttlebug. The only drawback is that it's not a universal machine.
And, the 12" platform is super worth it.
ETA: QK also has awesome service. They will walk you through using it and any questions you have.

Sweet! I see a trip to HL in my future for tomorrow before that 40% off web coupon expires!! : ) That's way too good a deal to pass up!!
Sorry, but I don't know about embossing in the Revolution. Guess I'll go see if I can find anything by searching. If I find anything, I'll be sure to pass it along.

I just recently got my revolution because it was 39.99, but I didn't have a coupon. You got a great deal. Anyway, I love mine to use with my nesties, I didn't really need it either but I thought that magnetic platform would be great to have with the nesties as well as all of my quickutz dies. I was totally right. I emboss with mine using my nesties. I bought a pair of the tan embossing mats and I use the embossing plate on top of that, it works great.
Hey ladies! I have a revolution for sale in the buy-sell forum. So if anyone is interested let me know. I will even pay the shipping anywhere in the us.
Thank you all so much for all your encouragement and help;) For $24 how could I pass it up? I too thought it would be great to use if for nothing but nestabilites with the magnetic surface. Hey.....it costs the same as a pack of nestablities.....how about that?
