What do you use to clean staz-on ink off your stamps? It comes off my clear stamps no problem, but for some reason, I cannot get it to come completely off the rubber ones, even when I clean them right away.
I use Simple Green (undiluted) for all my stamps and my blocks. It's amazing on ALL the inks I have ever used. It's biodegradable AND it conditions your stamps too. One bottle has lasted me over TWO years...I swear by it!
ETA you can find a big bottle of it in the automotive section at walmart or a grocery store.

Another vote for Ultra Clean. I used to use Staz-on cleaner, but UC works much better. I spray the cleaner on a rag, then dab it on the stamp and let it work a little before wiping it off. Works like a charm!
I use both Ultra-Clean and StazOn cleaner and find both work well, even on old and stained stamps. Personally I don't like the smell and greasy feel of the Ultra-Clean, but it does a great job.
Just a warning that the regular StazOn cleaner is NOT suitable for clear stamps, although I believe they may now have one that is suitable.
In the "tool & product" thread, someone posted how she "accidently" discovered a great "cheap" stamp cleaner that even cleans Staz-on ink -- Suave Tropical Coconut Shampoo! I purchased some but have yet to try it. A small bottle costs less than a buck!

HI Lynn, did you try the shampoo... if so how did it work.

Yes, I did try it and it worked great, but honestly, I haven't tried it yet on Staz-On ink yet. I think I'll experiment on that today and let you know the verdict!

I don't know if the particular scent has anything to do with it because I got some seriously stained stamps at a thrift store, used some cheap shampoo on them, and they came out beautifully. I'm not sure if it would take StazOn off, though, because I don't know what was on the stamps I cleaned. I just know no other cleaner was even touching it. (But I don't have any StazOn cleaner here, though.)
