Default Blending

Due to the fact that I need to try every new or different kind of procuct that is out there I bought the Dove Blender Pen with all the refill stuff. I also own SU Blender pens. A Blender Pencil.....and Stumps (Made in China and Made in Taiwan) and 3 different kinds of oderless mineral spirits. The Dove Pen did not come with complete instructions and I am not sure exactly how to refill it (1st question). I tried the Dove pen on Prisma colors and hated it...I am assuming it doesn't work on the Prismas??? (2nd question). What is everyone elses favorite???(3rd question) and how do you use them exactly(4th question)????

-I don't have a Dove Blender, so I dunno how that works. Sorry!
-Prismacolors have their own blender. It can be found with the Prismacolor markers. I think it's called the 'colorless blender'. I have two, and love them.
-I love the SU! blender pens. I use them on watercolor pencils and with SU! inks. But, with my Prismas, I use the Prisma blender.
-How do I use them?
I use my SU! blenders when I want a watercolor look on a card. I use them with the watercolor pencils (for lighter looks), or with SU! inks (for brighter blending).
My Prisma blenders are used when I want to slightly blend two colors together. I mean, they aren't perfect, but it smooths the line a bit. I actually use the prisma blender with my prisma markers more than with my prisma pencils.

I've had SU aquapainters and blender pens for years, and love them. I tend to be heavy handed and wear out the tips on the blenders. I recently bought the Dove blender, refill and replacement tips. I put a small amount (1/4" or less) of the refill liquid in a glass and sat my SU pens in there to refill. I'll probably do the same with the Dove. I think I've read that the best way to remove tips for replacement is with pliers. You can also remove the cap to refill, but I was afraid I'd spill the stuff all over my table. One thing I love about the Dove blender is that the tip is very pointy so it's much easier to color in small areas. I'll be curious to see how long the tips last and how long it stays juicy! HTH!
