Mystery dies
Sometimes when I buy a set of dies, there is a piece or two that I can't figure out. Usually if I look up the manufacturer's samples, I can see it in use and then it becomes more clear. But other times, I am still mystified.
For example: Stampin Up Poppy Moments, from the spring catalogue.
The two-layer leaves and flowers are obvious enough. And the little oval with the matching piece that makes a bud. But there are two little dies that are very similar to that matching piece, but they don't have a stem. They aren't the right size to go with the oval to make a bud. Are they supposed to be leaves? Because they don't match the other leaves.
Compounding the mystery, there are TWO of them - so whoever made the die set assumed I would want to cut out twice as many of these as the other pieces, right?
