Default Stazon vs Ink It Up

I was asked what the difference is between Stazon and Ink It Up stamp pads and so far all I can find it that Stazon is for porous items, and the other is a pigment ink. Is it comparable to SU craft ink in that it has to be heat set OR???? Please help me answer this question!

Thanks!
