Default Does anyone know

what the pickup tool is called and who makes it. It's the one that has a clear plastic body and on one end there is this green turquoise rubber that you can advance as needed just a tiny bit at a time with an ever so slight twist action. the other end is clear and flat and I use that end to push glitter around, rub-on tool etc.(tiny rub-on images) the whole thing is about as round as a good size ball point pen and the end that the rubber sticky stuff comes out is about the size of a color pencil color. I have lost mine and I am lost without it and I use it to set rhinestones etc. Can anyone pick there brain and help me figure this out. Oh yeah, and where to buy it online as I am held up with a broken leg. Thanks again.

It is the QuickKutz QuickStik -- the quicker-poker-picker-upper! I got mine a few years ago from a store that went out of business and would be lost without it!

I so agree! Couldn't do without mine! Infact, have two of them, so incase I misplace one, I have another. I do have those senior moments!

I love the quicker picker upper, too! I found mine at Archiver's, at the checkout stand.

I haven't tried it, but remember hearing on a video that can dip toothpicks in Aleen's tack it over and over (or Tombow liquid glue) and then let it dry. Maybe someone else will chime in?

Beeswax on a toothpick works, one of those crayons like you use on Easter eggs works, the Aleene's trick should work...

I use a clear or white crayon. Works like a charm, and I've had mine for years. I've also seen Vicky Papaioannou use a white nail pencil, but mine was too sticky. Maybe it was too humid. I really dislike the QuickStik. I couldn't get mine to stop coming out, and I wasted a lot. The same thing happened to my mother's and my friend's.

My experience with the Quik Stick also wasnt good. The sticky stuff either wouldnt come out or when it did, a whole glob would ooze out! I use a Marvy Jewel Picker with better results. It has 2 ends w/caps that have a sticky substance on the ends. When items didnt stick well, i just wiped off the end with a wet shammy and it was good to go again. Dawn Griffith, a Stampin Up demo, said she put 2-way glue on the end of her pokey tool and let it dry.

I had one and when the green stuff was not 'there' anymore I tried to twist it to make more come out, because I could see more green stuff inside. No matter what I did, it would not turn or press out the green stuff. I emailed to the company and they sent a new one right away! Nice folks.

Yes, me too. Mine would not turn no matter what I tried. The company sent me a free new one. Gotta love that kind of service.
