I finally broke down and bought one earlier this week -- everyone on here has been raving about it so I caved. OH MY GOSH! :o Why didn't I listen and buy it sooner??? It's amazing!! I bought it mainly to punch through heavy chipboard 'cause that can be a pain to pound through . . . it was SO easy. I decided to put it to the test and stacked up 4 pieces of chipboard -- it punched through them like they were just paper. I was literally roaming my craft room looking for things to test it on LOL! I have a bunch of formica sample chips that I use from time to time and in the past I've always had to get DH's drill to make holes in them. Not anymore. The Crop-a-dile just punched right through them and left nice clean holes. It's just an added bonus that it sets eyelets beautifully. This is definitely one of my better craft purchases.
Thanks girls for enabling me!!

I absolutely LOVE my CAD as soon I as received it I had to go over and show it to some of my stamping neighbors, they were so impressed that they each went out and bought one. :p

I love mine, too!! It is so easy to use, and punches through anything with great ease. And sooo quiet! When I showed it to my husband (who is very particular about the quality of the tools he buys) he was very impressed by this tool. He thought it was a real steal when I told him how much I paid. I got mine at HL with 40% coupon.
If you decide to get one you will not be disappointed. But save the back of the packaging so you have the directions to refer to if needed.

Chiquita, you have stampin' neighbors???? I am envious of that!

I just ordered a CAD, too; I actually prefer the hammer method for eyelets, but I love that this thing can *easily* punch through a stack of c/s at one time, and stuff like chipboard and tin.

I held out when I first heard about it, thinking it was a $50+ tool and was surprised to find out it's only about HALF that! Wouldn't have expected that!

Needless to say, I think it's gonna be an invaluable tool.

I held one on Monday. I had my 50% off Michael's coupon and I was trying to decide if I should buy it. I didn't buy it because I have the Long Pro setter/punch and another quiet setter (the name escapes me right now) that works great. I should have bought it. I do still have my 40% coupon..... Hmmm........

I think the regular price was something like $26.99 or $27.99. That really IS a good price at 40% off. $16.79 or something like that.

Julie....love the new dew1. I can't believe that you would rather use the old method for eyelets.

Joanne's has a 40% off coupon,Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Try Joanne's on line. Also to Tlw.... Have you been to Hollo's Paper in Brunswick? I was there last week. They have the most gorgous paper for $1 a pound.

Have you ladies tried punching through things like buckets? Wow this thing even works on those. You can string wire and beads through them.

Can you tell I'm a fan?

Shelley~

I got my CAD with a 50% coupon at Joann's - got the last one! I absolutely think this tool is the greatest! I love it! It took awhile to get used to it, but it will be used a lot. I was absolutely amazed, though, at the difference in size between 1/8" and 3/16" - just 1/16" difference, and the larger size seems HUGE!

I got one Monday at Michaels for 50% off and I have to admit is the bomb...I did not think I would use it, but it is so nice and Julie, you will use it to set eyelets because it is so easy to do. You can put one in in less than 60 seconds flat! I love, love it and am so glad I talked myself into buying it...
