Default Which Cuttlebug Alphabet to choose?

The Joanns sale pushed me over the edge and I am now the proud owner of one of these cute machines and now I "have" to buy some alphabet dies. Which one do you like best?

How does the Baby Face cut. Is it nice and clean, i really like the look of this one, but I'm afraid that the small letters might not work well. --with my cricut some of the small fonts don't work well. --Thanks--

I have Baby Face. The letters cut well, I run them through my Xyron 150 (the "X" one). I liked that it was the letters or the circles with the letters cut out (done a lot of initial cards with the circles)...double duty for one price.

So far I have Olivia, Harmony, You're not the boss of me and Red tag Alphabet. The only one I haven't used yet is the red tag. Love them all though. I used a 50 % off coupon at Michael's for all of them

Yet another thumbs up for Olivia! If I do get another one I will probably go for You're Not the Boss of Me.

I think Baby Face would be an excellent choice, very versatile because you can use the positive and negative shapes, as Kathy said, double duty for one price! It is very similar to the Sizzix Rat-A-Tat alpha that I already have and that is the alpha I have used most, I love it!

I have Harmony. I wanted Olivia but it was out of stock. I did find something cool with Harmony though. It has a scalloped circle that mats perfectly with the 1 3/8 circle punch. I don't have any of the giga or mega punches so this was a nice little bonus for me!

Seems like Olivia is the most popular! I have that one too!

Here are two cards I used it for:

Pink Hugs

Lime Love

I also like the Red Tag Sale alpha. That'll be my next purchase.

This is why I want this font, it's like getting a free punch.

I bought Hippy Chick from one of these sellers and I am not sure if it was the seller or ProvoCraft but one of the dies was marked wrong. The package came brand new and sealed, but one of the lower case die actually cuts uppercase of different letters!! Hmmm...actually thought I was losing my mind when I first used it!! I emailed the seller but while waiting for the response called ProvoCraft. The funny thing is that she didn't sound surprised and said she was sending another die out to me!!

I bought Olivia and Baby Face from an eBay seller recently. They were $29.99 each and I was able to have the shipping combined. Both sets arrived in their factory packaging. However, the seller shipped the two sets in a padded envelope with no additional padding, and the edges of the plastic packaging were broken in a few places on both sets. The dies themselves are in perfect condition so that wasn't a big deal. Now I just need to make more time to use them! :p

I also like You're Not the Boss of Me. The Harmony set is pretty, but I probably won't buy it because I already own the Script Sizzlits alphabet, which is similar.

Hi Cindy,
Yes...I just got my bug last week and I had the same problem...the 2 large flowers cut great, but the small ones do not. I also had a problem with some of my Olivia Alpha dies. I had a busy week and have not called PC yet, but I plan to call them next week. They were great when I had to get a new blade for my Cricut.

I have Olivia and Red Tag Sale and I got them both on Ebay for less than I would've spent with a coupon. Can someone tell me how you adhere the Olivia letters? If you use a Xyron, doesn't the adhesive ending up sticking to both sides of your letters?

Thanks,

I have purchased many many sizzix, & cricut alphabets on Ebay. I have never had an unhappy experience. Perhaps I have just been lucky. I do not hesitate to buy as long as the feedback looks good for any seller. I just got a cuttlebug two days ago so far no alphabets. I have not even had an opportunity to take it out of the box. I have found time to buy a bunch of embossing folders on Ebay though...YEEHAH!
