Default Embossing/cutting machine reviews

Is there a past thread duscussing the pros and cons of the variouis cutting/embossing machines available? I have looked at advertisements for the Cricut Create, the Cricut Expression, the Cuttlebug and the soon to be released Ecraft. Does anyone know if there have been comparisons made of any of these?

Hi!
I don't know about a comparison sight.

The Cuttlebug is similar to the Sizzix style machine. It embosses using embossing folders and cuts images from dies. You can not manipulate the size of the image at all.

I don't know about the ECraft.

The Cricut Create and the Cricut Expression are basically the same machine except for the sizes it can cut. The Cricut machines use cartridges that hold images, you can not design your own images (like drawing with a pen) but you can manipulate the images to make things that are not on the cartridge. Rectangles to form boxes, etc. You do with with Design Studio, the Gypsy, or one of the 2 after market programs. The Expression takes a 12x12 mat or a 12x24 mat so you can go rather larger with your designs. The Create only takes a 6x12 mat. All cartridges work with both machines, as do the Design Studio, Gypsy and after market design programs.

I have an Expression, Design Studio and a Gypsy. I use my old red Sizzix to use the Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Have you checked out Craft Critique? It's a comparison site.
