SU cutting blades
SU cutting blades have been out of stock for some time now, I was told by demo they would be back in stock on 3/21...they are still out of stock. Can anyone update this info, what is the hold up? It does look like they are going up in price from $6 to $7.50....thank you kindly!

A demo suggested yesterday to get the SU Rotary Trimmer attachment since blades are not available. They are $13.00 US. This demo has 2 trimmers so she doesn't have to swap the arms when needed but that's her solution to the replacement blade issue.
I ordered several packs of blades when I bought the trimmer. I was fearful that they would not be available when I needed one. Glad I did that given the current circumstances.

I have six back up blades. I always worry about tools being obsolete, which is why I also have three boxes of staples for the tiny attacher! I also have a second trimmer with the rotary arm attached so I don't have to switch out. Got the idea from Frenchie!
Does anyone know why they are so hard to get in right now? Just curious.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember SU couldn't get in touch with anyone during Chinese New Year. I gather almost everything is closed during that time. I imagine the other problem is they are probably coming by boat. SU can air ship international if they want but I understand that is quite expensive.
I bought the SU new trimmer couple years ago, having replaced it once and blades numerous times since then. From day one, it cut a rough chunky edge leaving paper fuzzies. SU would never respond to my emails on this. I finally invested in a rather expensive Carl trimmer that cuts multiples like butter. I only use the SU for scoring.
I see no reason to have to use a nail file to remove fuzzies each time I cut card stock with SU trimmer, as their demos show on videos.

I thought it was me. I changed the blades out multiple times and still get the fuzzies!

I think I am going to go back to my fiskars....I too have noticed fuzzies some of the time, not all the time. I figured my blade was dull, so I go through a lot of blades and now I cannot get them, it will be easier to use my fiskars

I have problems cutting thin pattern paper. These blades just rip the heck out of this paper. I bought this SU trimmer to relapse my fiskar trimmer. Needless to say I still use my fiskar trimmer.
These blades don't even last as long as the fiskar blades due. I have had my SU trimmer for maybe a year, and replaced the blade 3 times already, due to the ripping of pattern paper and those wonderful fuzzy edges.
I also bought the rotary blade, was horrible. would not cut ginaK and Papertry 110 paper. Brought to show my demo. She tried it out on SU paper, it worked for her so she could not call the rotary blade defective. I had to pay to return this rotary blade to SU for an exchange on another product.
Needless to say, I will never buy anything craft item were parts have to be ordered for replacement.
It is horrible that replacement blades are taking so long. I only have one spare. And to have to buy another trimmer is ridiculous.

While you're waiting, have you tried cleaning out your track? I use a craft blade and run down the track and get a lot of fuzzies out. Also try flipping the track and using the other track. And one more thing I do is clean the underside of the ruler. It seems like a lot of hoops to jump through but SU paper is better quality in my opinion and seems to get fuzzies a lot so I do this every so often and haven't replaced blades much.
