I make mostly cards so I bought the SU pennant punch. I really don't need the larger pennant dies. Your choice would depend on how you are going to use your pennants. If you will be in need of different sizes, I would buy the die sets that have various sizes but remember that the thin dies will not cut thicker materials or fabric very well, if at all.

What about Spellbinders Nested Pennant Sets?

Nested Lacey Pennants

Spellbinders Paper Arts - Nested Pennants

I have the Stampin' Up set that is the XL Bigz die (guess that's not available anymore). But I have used them and they are neat. I really like the size of the Spellbinders Pennants sets......small to large and will fit just about any project.

Good point about the thinner dies. I've not had any experience with them and have only used a few thick Sizzix dies. I guess I need to get more familiar with the types of dies each company offers.

I don't like the look of the Spellbinders pennants die cuts in the company photo, but I do like the look of a few projects that I just saw on the Internet.

I think I'm leaning toward the SU Petite Pennants, as it seems it would be the easiest, especially at crops. But the other companies have so much more variety. Besides, its not like I have money to shop right now. I'm just making a wish list so that when I do make a purchase or two, it will be well thought out. :-)

I only have the punch and the SU die because I'm SU only BUT I'd pick the punch over any others any day simply because I love punches and they are quick and easy to use. I love dies too but sometimes it's just more of a pain when I could just punch and be done:-) And you can do so much with the pennant punch. It's great for Christmas trees as well as other things and lately I've been seeing cute angels made with it.

Now, I do mainly cards so the punch is good there. If you're more into home decor and 3d items then a bigger die may be more your style.

I'm looking for something that will be good for cards and scrapbook pages. For anything larger, I'd just cut by hand and use an edge punch.
