SU Stamp pad storage...HELP!!!
Hey everyone! I just signed on with SU....Whoo Hoo!!! I have not rec'd my order yet so I am wondering if someone can measure a stamp pad for me? I am trying to buy a wood storage unit for my stamp pads. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, if anyone uses a cassette tape holder can you tell me what the measurements are as far as depth? Thanks!

Hello,
The pads are 4 1/2 inches long and about 3 3/4 inches wide at the top and bottom. They are a little under 3/4 inches in depth. I use an old cassette holder for my pads here is a picture: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...&ppuser=117346 Hope this helps |

I got the stamp holder shown in my craft room pic below on ebay. I wish I had bought a bigger one with the holes for ink refill bottles. I like to keep all of the In Colors so I wish I had bought a bigger one for all of the future inks that come out. I will see if I can find an ebay auction for one from the same person that made mine and post it. She will also make custom ones for you if you want anything that she doesn't have listed.

Here is the listing for the one I got. They are very well made. Check out her other designs.

Check this blog!
http://rebelinker.blogspot.com/2007/...der-for-6.html She shows an inkpad holder she made, and provides a pdf instructional file. You could do a search here for foam core board, the material used to make this holder. |
I have a wooden one that my friend made that is made so it is big enough to fit the ink pad and the matching marker in the same space. It has 5 columns and has 12 spots in each column so you have room for the whole SU! family plus the neutrals etc... It hangs on the wall or sits on your table, whichever you would wish. It is made soooooo sturdy. I love mine. I don't have a picture of it right now but if you go to Pixley and click on her gallery you can see a picture of it on her craft room wall because she bought one too. If, after you look at that picture of it, you want a better picture of it let me know and I will get you a better one. You will love it though. He also makes wooden ribbon holders too.

Wow! I am insanely jealous of you ladies with your wonderful craft/stamping spaces. As of now, my stamp pads are in their original box, but that storage unit on e-bay would be a great investment!

I don't think it's sturdy enough to hang on the wall. I think the foam core is strong enough, but the hot glue isn't. If you found a way to staple gun parts of it together, it might be strong enough.

Well, I figure, I can at least try to make this inkpad holder. Mine have taken over and I need one place to hold them all. I also looked at the ink refill and stickle bottle holder and that one is a winner, too. The only one I'm not sure of is the one for the ribbon---if I got all my ribbon in one place, I don't know if I could justify getting any more! Thanks for all the help Dianne

I was thinking of buying this from IKEA for the wall in my craft space. It is more than long enough for all 4 color groups, the neutrals, the incolors and the retired that I have. |
I made this small one with foam core board that I found in my stash. I glued my with "Crafter's Pick Ultimate" glue. I mounted it on my cork board above one of my stamping tables. I use it to hold the ink pads that I am using on my current project. It is great to have them handy without taking up space on the table.

My hubby made a simple rack system for me to hang on the wall. I love that I can add holders as my inkpads grow in number. Check out my gallery for a picture! :) I love them so much as did my friends. Gave them out for Xmas presents!

Go to organizemore.com. Mike will have everything that you need. He's done my studio and I love it. He's also very reasonably priced.

This forum still won't let me post a url-so take out the space following www
I found a great wooden audio cassette rack that holds 100 tapes online at www .kingdom.com:80/category.aspx?categoryid=273&startpage=1 for only 19.97 plus shipping. It's not as deep as stampin up stamp pads but is deep enough so that the stamp pads will not fall out. |

I purchased the storage rack from SU!. It rotates so it works great. I did have to buy the extenders as well , to fit all the stamp pads that I have. But I love it.

Not cheap - but still affordable and wood with moveable shelves. It also holds refill bottles and markers! You can wall mount, but mine is shallow so it doesn't take much space on my desk.
From suink.net - mine is the ''Wall Unit Plus'' and holds 60 pads/inks/markers: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...90452&cat=7910 |
