Default Joycrafts open up die

Hello everyone,
I hope some of you may have used these open up dies.
I use a bigshot which I love, but cannot get this die to go through the rollers.
I've tried using the top platform and I'm afraid of killing my bigshot if I force it.
I tried using the second platform, but there is no pressure.
Can anyone help?

Are you talking about the Sizzix Multipurpose platform with tabs? If so, I assume by top platform you mean tab two is closed with dies on top, and second platform means tab 2 is open and dies are placed on top of tab 1. If I am correct in this, try using the second platform (Tab 1) and then adding layers of cardstock to shim until you get the right pressure. I'm not familiar with the dies you are using, so I googled them and they appear to be wafer thin dies?

Default joy craft die

Hi,
I think this is a fairly new die.

I seems to be about the same thickness as the other joycraft dies, but it is welded onto a Perspex panel, about 1mm thick.

The instructions mention a Trouvaille cutting machine, which I've never heard of.

Thanks for your help, and I'll try your suggestion

I love the card ideas made with the Joy! Craft pop-up stencil. I purchased "garden" which is a tree with fence and a small flower in the corner. PLEASE be careful and DO NOT force your cutting machine - the sandwich got stuck half way through in my Grand Caliber (which was quite new!) and the machine ended up being thrown out. I've searched and asked for advice but found nothing specific. One source suggested using a Sizzix base plate top layer - I have only a small clue as to what they meant. Has anyone a method to use these with a Grand Caliber?
