SU cardstock thru printer

I have an HP 1350 printer/copier and can't get SU cardstock to feed through it. I love printing the insides of my cards on the computer, so I've been using a cheaper white CS, and mounting the card fronts.

I am now looking to buy a new printer/copier so my daughter can take this one to college. SO, I'm asking the experts....

What inkjet printer/copier do I want to buy? It must be able to take the SU cardstock, and if this matters, I have a Mac rather than a PC.

Thanking y'all in advance,

Mary Ann

I have an Epson RX510 - it's a couple year old now and works like a charm with SU cardstock. WW and VV go through easily and the colour families may need to be guided through but still works great. And I love the photos it prints out too.
I think the newer model number is the RX630.
I wouldn't hesitate to get another Epson should this one stop working.

If you're looking for a new printer and want to use cardstock, try to find one with a straight paper path. (Look for one where the paper goes in the back and out the front or vice versa.) It's bending the cardstock around a roller that usually causes the problem. If you look at most big office copiers, they have a special tray for cardstock - one that uses a straight paper path.

I have an Epson Artisan 800 and I love it. You can change the setting in the print options for cardstock.

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R1800. It works great on SU cardstock. It has been replaced by the R1900. It is not cheap but the R1900 is currently available on the Epson site for $399 after two rebates. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/c...s&oid=63073901 It also will print on 12" wide paper (well actually 13" wide!) so it is great for scrapbooks. My DH is into photography and so it was a purchase for both of us.
