Default Organizing Designer and Patterned Paper

I am gradually going through and organizing my craft room. Right now, for my solid color cardstock, I have two wire racks with each rack having 25 slots. This way, I can separate out my cardstock by color. Now I am looking for ideas as to how to organize my patterned paper. I want it to be out so that I will use it more than I hoarde it and I am tired of having to flip through the whole stack when I'm just looking for inspiration and not a specific color. What do you do?

Hi Courtney!

I have the same problems! Right now I only have them broken down to retired or current (or non-SU!). I'd love to hear some tips, too!

I use those 3 drawer plastic rubbermaid blocks. I have 2 of them. I've got 6 drawers full and still need more room. I do have 1 drawer for holiday, 2 for scraps, 1 for bigger scraps and 2 for misc paper. I so would like to know a better way too!!

Hugs,
Joani

I had all my paper jumbled together in 8 rubbermaid drawers. Last Friday I bought one of those 22 slot paper towers at A.C. Moore and spent most of the weekend setting it up. I started sorting into color families and I mixed plain and patterns together. Then it became obvious to me that I needed to throw in some themed categories too. So for my stash I did a shelf with religion themes, one for Christmas, one for special events, one for disney... So far I am really happy at having to go through only a one shelf pile to make selections instead of digging through drawers. Sometimes seeing the choices wets my creative appetite! But I don't think it will be too long before I want to expand into even more shelves and refine my categories. Hope this helps.
