Default Sticky tape brands

What's the best brands of sticky tape that I can find in a craft store? I've been searching and haven't found what I think is sticky tape. I've seen vellum tape, mounting tape and foam tape but no sticky tape. I'm trying to make a bunch of pocket card invites. Do I really need the sticky tape or can I use glue or mono-adhesive?:(

I've only seen it in my LSS and never seen it thin enough to do the cards. I use the 1/8 inch width tape to do pocket cards. I think it's easier to do those with the tape than wet glue (as wet glue often gets smooshed into a larger area) and found that mono (the tape) usually comes undone over time. Here's a link to the website I ordered mine from (and it had the best price I could find) - http://www.apeekintoyesterday.com/ac...icky_Tape

I find the red sticky tape works best for pocket cards and anything else is just not reliable. Even the non-SU brands work okay.

Thanks! It is the best price so far that I've seen. Even w/ shipping it's better. Great site!

I use the red tape all the time and don't have any problems with it. I have tried using the Tombow and it doesn't seem to stick as well either.

A year or so ago I bought a big order of red tape from apeekintoyesterday and still have some left.. my hubby is in the Army and went the other day for a DA (Dept. of Army) photograph.. to keep his pockets down nice and neat we put small strips of the red tape and when he got the the place to take the pics, he pulled off the red backing and pushed down.. worked like a charm.. I am currently making a bunch of pocket cards and I am using mono-multi. I tried the sticky strip, but it made my pocket too small (narrow) for the picture I was putting on the insert. The picture I was using didn't look right cropped down to fit in the sticky strip pocket. Hope this makes sense.

It makes perfect sense. I'm going to post a prototype of the card I'm making to get some help from all of you very talented people. My only concern now is putting in registry info w/o it getting stuck in the pocket or getting lost. I think I'll actually tie them to the invite that is the insert.

Can you put the registry info on the back of the insert? That way it won't get lost and should get seen.

And Airbornewife, that's an ingenious use that I may just have to copy! I have pants with pocket flaps that refuse to lay flat that are just screaming for tape!

Wow! I can't believe 5yds of sticky tape only makes 20 pocket cards! Got the tape yesterday and finished putting together the invites last night. I went through and entire reel of 1/8" tape.
