Default stickles problem....

I ordered 4 different stickles off the internet and was trying them out. Well, one of them refuses to work. I've done everything but stand on it in order to try and get the stuff to come out. The weird part is, is that it doesn't seem to be completely clogged (if that is in fact the problem), because when you squeeze the bottle there is a smidgen of glue that comes out, but that's about it. So, the reason for the post: does anybody have any ideas as to what's wrong? Anybody ever had this problem? It was just $1.75, and I should just throw it away and get another one, but now it's like a challenge, ya know.

Yup, this happens from time to time. Just insert a needle in the nozzle until it's unclogged. I use one from my SU! tool kit.

HTH!

Dont throw it away! It does happen from time to time ... like trudee said, just stick in a pin to unclog it ... certain colours (for me at least) seem to clog all the time and other bottles have never clogged. Have fun with the Stickles, I love them!

yup, stick a pin thru and wiggle just a little. i find sometimes the nozzle wasnt formed correctly and isnt quite open enough.
i have 10 stickles, had that problem with 4 and now they all work perfectly.

If the pin doesn't work, you might try trimming the tip a tiny bit. I had the same problem with some of mine, and the pin trick just wouldn't work on one of them. Someone suggested trimming the tip and it worked like a charm!

Good luck.

I have also found that when a pin/needle won't work that a push-pin will. They are a little bit thicker and will give you a slightly bigger opening. Also, I find that if you keep them warm, they will work a lot better. My studio is *freezing* so I always stick them by my heater when I know I will be using them.

Good luck!
