Default snaps??

What are snaps and what are they for???
I know what eyelets and brads are, but what are snaps? I tried googling, but I still don't understand what they are.

They've been around for several years, they set like an eyelet but have a solid top like a brad. HTH.

Exactly what Jennifer said. I love using them, personally I like the fact that I can set them with the CropADile and not have legs to deal with at the back. But then, they don't come in as many fancy ways as brads do.

Sabrina,

How do you use the CropADile with the snaps? What settings do you use? I find it very difficult since there is nothing to hold the snap in place like there is with an eyelet. Also, the backs never seem to splay out like the eyelets do.

Thanks for any suggestions you can make!

Hollie

Hollie, this link goes to a .pdf file on the We R Memory Keepers website that give you instructions on which combinations can be used for snaps.

Hope it helps!

I use the settings as shown in the attachment Novell gave. D, and either 3 or 4. Have to say that it's one of things where the original CAD is definitely better than the Big Bite. And it is better with the larger snaps - I have a lot of the Making Memories ones. But it still does work with the small ones that I like using. Took a bit of practice. As for keeping them in place, I think I just put them through the punched hole, and then lift the CAD up to eye level, so that I can see what I am doing and make sure that I have it positioned properly over the base of the setter.

I use snaps with the toomuchfun folding shirts rubber stamps. I made a high school letter jacket for a graduation card and the snaps added just the right touch of authenticity. They're great!!
