Size of SU Punch

What size of plain square would fit nicely inside the SU punch scallop square, shown on page 210 of the new catty? I have the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" square punches and want to make sure the scallop will work with one of them. Thanks.

Well...

I punched the Scallop Square, a 1" Square and the 1 1/4" Square. The 1" Square looked too small and the 1 1/4" Square looked to big...so I would go with a 1 1/8" if SU! made that size plain Square punch...which they don't.

Hope this helps you make an informed decision...

Twila, I think you just muddied the water :) Thanks for taking the trouble to measure though

I will muddy the water even more. What is the point of square punches, anyway? Can't you just cut 1 1/8 by 1 1/8??????? Yes, I know, you need a punch if you want to make a window in the card.

I've often thought the same thing, but it does make it quicker to cut them. I just can't seem to bring myself to order square punches since they are super easy to cut.

Okay, you gals are making me feel lazy. You're absolutely right about cutting the square but it's soooo much easier to have a punch :>

I'm sorry....you shouldn't feel lazy. I love punches, it's just that with so many to choose from, I leave the squares alone since I can cut them. Maybe if I didn't want so many of the others, I would consider them too!:p

Lazy? I didn't mean to imply that at all!!! I have some square punches myself!!!!

I am CHEAP however and a paper hoarder. And I find I can get a lot more squares if I cut them myself

Yes, I've never bought square punches but they are next in line for a purchase!
