I hear that the Reveal lightbulbs are really good. The Wal-Mart in Manhattan has a good selection of lamps for inexpensive. They have a lot of the floor ones. I was there on Saturday. My lamp for my area just went caput! I haven't gotten a new one yet because I have to get the battery for my car first. But I will probably go to the Wally World when I do get one. I tend to like that one more then the JC Wal-Mart. Just better selection. IMO
Good Luck!

I love the GE Reveal bulbs. I have three in my overhead light and one in each of the small lamps in my craft room. They do not put out as much light as regular bulbs but they produce a much "truer" color. So you will probably need a few in the room to have a bright, true light. Surprisingly, they have lasted a long time too, actually longer than the plain ol' bulbs.

I have an Ott light on my craft table and use it quite a bit. This year I invested in some Ott lamps for the living room but bought them when they had a buy one get one sale or something like that. Both times I waited for coupons or sales before I bought. My overhead light in the craft room (that has GE Reveal bulbs in it) just doesn't seem to be enough for my 40 year old eyes. For many years I've purchased full spectrum bulbs for about $8.00 in the healthfood store, online, or at Menards (kind of like a Home Depot) and used them in the lamps and light fixtures in my home. Even put some above the massage table when I worked at the gym. Full spectrum light helps with the winter blues and SAD. So you get a little light treatment each time you turn on the lamp. Look online or on Ebay to compare features and prices.
