Default can i use any brass template in my sizzix?

okay, i am trying to use my sizzix to its full potential before i go out and buy a cuttlebug just 'cause its cute!!! so, i am reading up on it at the sizzix.com website. i am not at home near my sizzix and don't have any embossing folders yet, anyway, but i am confused ... can i use any brass template in the machine? what is this "raised counter die" thing?

yes, you can use your brass templates in your sizzix...here's the deal!

you will need the converter...if you don't have one...get one!
first place your template on the cutting board, then your paper, then...an old "foam style" mouse pad cut down to the size of the converter, then put your converter in place, press down...voila!
hth!

No sir, for real!! I'm so excited to know this. I have tons of brass stencils that I use with a stylus taped to a window. Now I'm going to go and try it right now.

Thanks so much for posting this question -- and for answering it! I just love this place because I learn so much!
