You will love it! You can, if you haven't already, download a free trial version to play around with until your purchase is official.. Also on this thread you can read about it: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...349930&page=78

Lindsaymay has a blog with all kinds of free downloads.

Congrats!!

check out svgcuts.com for some awesome free files. I have been playing around, making my own files and should be ready to share soon! Keep an eye on my blog! I LOVE scal and I hope you do too. Also, if you want to try your hand at a little designing, download inkscape for free!

do you need Inkscape to use SCAL? I've been lloking at the inkscape website and it's very intimidating.....

No, you don't need inkscape. It does look a little intimidating. I got it and didn't use it for 2 months, but finally I decided I needed it! If you do decide to try it, there are tons of tutorials on youtube!

surecutsalotusers yahoo group hasnt got quite as much mail as scalhints Gale. There's also a beginners group which is great for people starting out.

I tend to do most of my designing in paintshop pro rather than inkscape.

http://dan99.blogspot.com/2009/01/vi...pg-to-svg.html is a pretty good jpg to svg in inkscape tutorial but with scal2 unless you intend making files to share/sale you don't need to convert to svg.
