Default Sandwich guide for Top Note in Big Kick

Hello guys I have the Big Kick and I'm trying to use the Sizzix Bigz Top Note in my machine. The sandwhich guide I'm using isn't cuting the die all the way out. Please is there anyone out there that can help. The sandwhich guide I"m using now is. Plastic piece then the top note then my cardstock then the red shim and that's it..I also tried this way as well plastic piece shim I just used another piece of cardstock then the top note then my cardstock then the red shim and still it didn't cut it all the way out. Any guidiance is appericated since we are beginners here!

Thanks!

Rowanvamp0.....The sandwich is no different than you would use with any other BigZ die. Cutting pad>die (foam side up)>card stock>cutting pad.

I don't use the crease pad, I find it's not necessary. You are able to see the fold lines well enough. Also, I did have some problem with the die cutting through the fold lines. I feel that is due to a defect in the die. Stampin' Up told me there is nothing wrong with the die. So I just have to take my chances that the die does not cut through the cold lines. If it does, I just cut a new one or put tape on the inside for support and just fold as usual. It's not a big deal to me.....it's only paper. Usually I'll just cut another one.

My Big Kick came with directions for how to layer.

Cutting Pad, Top Note die (with foam side up), Paper, Cutting Pad, than roll thru machine.

You only use the shim for embossing, like with a nestabilities.

Thanks guys so I was doing it right the first time but it didn't cut all the way out of my paper just a couple of cut lines that was it then I tried to fold it and gentle tear away and it ended up ripping my paper..I'm wondering if the Bigz are even worth it now that I know it doesn't cut all the way through. I'll give it another try again tonight and post results tomorrow. Anyone else out there with more suggestions on how to get the bigz to cut all the way through your paper using the Big Kick. Thanks guys you are such a big help at least I know I'm not crazy..LOL

The sandwich is as mentioned above - clear plate, die foam up, paper , clear die and run through

I haven't had to do this BUT if you're not getting a clear cut try putting a "shim" or piece or two of paper under the die (where it won't touch the cutting edge) and see if making it a bit tighter as you roll through helps.

If the "shim" doesn't work, than maybe you have a defective die and need to contact your demo to have the die replaced?
